I am writing this because I feel it's something that needs to be addressed as I personally find the whole experience of the game and overall fun of it just declines the more you have to solo que with a random team. I am not saying this is the view of ALL people who solo que but most likely a lot.
''Find a squad then and stop complaining''
I just want to point out that it's not that simple for a lot of people to simply find a squad and play with them, not everyone including myself has the confidence to just plug in the mic and start talking to some new people and you'll probably find it's the reason a lot of players who hate solo que will just continue to do it for this reason. A lot of gamers use it as an escape from various things in their life and with anxiety one of the most common issues nowadays (and increasing) I can understand why people are nervous and anxious to just go join a call with 2 new people and play together. That's just one reason and I'm sure there is plenty of other reasons why some players won't join a squad or just can't.
Apex is a BR and so obviously there is a lot of RNG involved, but it's the only BR game I know to add even more RNG on top of what's already there by forcing solo players to que in with random team mates. Will a team member wander from your squad? Will a team member just refuse to participate properly? Will a team member disconnect because he couldn't be wraith this time or there favourite character? Will a team member disconnect because you didn't land where he wanted? Will a team member just troll his squad mates? ( e.g.
purposely trying to get us killed or withholding ammo or heals) The list goes on. Whereas for pre-made squads, that list doesn't exist, giving a HUGE advantage and honestly you can always tell when you've ran into a pre-made squad and you just know in your head it's game over, unless they're really bad.
I understand that they want this to be a team game and so I'm not suggesting bringing in solo games. I think they need to introduce separate matches for pre made squads and random squads. There's no reason why this shouldn't happen, if you're against the idea then I'm just going to assume you play in a pre made squad and feel intimidated by the thought of going against only other pre made squads ( so you're effectively worried about the game becoming fair) Pre made squads could potentially have 3 incredibaly talented players going into a game possibly likely full of random squads and i'm sure they can tell when they run into a squad full of solo-que players. Unless of course the random squad somehow has 3 really good player, which is very rare and again, down to the RNG that only exists for solo-que players, our RNG starts when we hit the button to start a game unlike pre-made squads.
I have nothing against people who play in pre-made squads, i wish i could do the same, as i'm sure others do. But mixing them with random squads full of solo que players that could be talented to damn right bad is completely ridiculous. it's not even like we can go
into ranked to try to play with players the same level as us as 1. The ranked system i
s totally flawed and even the
worst of players can become and apex predator if they want too, plus you get matched with players in lower ranks than you aswell! Is there not enough people playing apex or something and you just can't find the players to match us with and so you have to just give us a couple of bronze tiers? or is it intentional?
Can you just do something so that people who don't or can't play in pre made squads have an actual chance to play this game. I know people complain about bad teammates when they que solo, but i'm really starting to understand why people go into a game with the attitiude of just not caring what happens or just trolling. I can imagine solo que players are just going into the game thinking ''f*** it'' because they are sick of ptrying to play properly and just having everything against them.
Separating pre-made and random squads into separate matches will do nothing but good for this game, making it fairer for both types of players. If someone can give me a reason as to why it's a bad idea, go ahead.
