Hey,
Been playing Apex Legends for a week now, having a blast. Apex could be the best BR game out there for me personally but....
- Kings Canyon Map is 2 small, a BR game is about a mix of close quarters and open field combat, this map only delivers on the close quarter fighting, There is no open field (only some hills and mountains to snipe from ) where the more long ranged weapons can show its strength.
- Matchmaking is terrible, i end up in 2 player team a lot and snce i really play to win..... frustration is to be found.....
- Lag issue's, i get it a lot that players randomly start to lag. This should be priority to improve performance asap, how can you compete if the game is not helping you compete but does the opposite....
- Character models needs to be completely overhauled, some differences are fine but a midget Wraith vs Gibraltar giants? The fact that that isnt fixed makes me doubt the intentions of the developers. Do you want to make the best BR game out there or looking for a good pay out? The new perk didnt fix anything, everyone knows the models need to be closer to eachother in size so no easy and cheap solution present.
- When i looked at the Store............ WTF?!? prices are insane, the guy who set the prices for the store should be fired from the company asap. These type of mistakes can destroy a game because of bad publicity, also it shows that EA has no commercial insight. A store is meant to get extra revenue not push players away from the game.
- Skins, some are nice but most look really crap. Combine the high price in the store for the skins with the poor quality of them, EA is loosing a lot of money because they didnt invest in quality. Other BR games nailed that 100% and make a lot more money that way.
Then the biggest minus for this game is Hackers, there are so many and i keep seeing the same player names over and over using hacks. Report options are hard to find and it requires a lot a effort from the player to file a report. It feels EA does not want take responsibility in this, and set it up intentionaly like this to lower the amount of reports. The amount of hackers will only increase if this is not turned around asap. Yes it costs a lot a money to find them but if you dont do anything (or not enough), players dont want to play this game anymore.
I give Apex Legends 7 out of 10 points this far, if they launch more maps and better maps plus the models are improved then this score could go up pretty fast. In my opinion Apex has all the ingredients for a fun BR game but since it lacks quality in some areás it has not reached that point. It feels like EA has still not learned its lessons from previous failed titles, overpriced skins, unbalanced models and a halve finished map it all feels rushed and pushed out 2 early. The only way to end the crisis on the stock markets for game developers like EA is coming with quality products not continue what they did so far.
EA should be known as gamers making games not known as managers with a large bonus in its contract trying to make as much money as possible. There are still bugs in EA internal code, evidence of that problem is clearly shown in the insane prices in the store. Only the best and creative programmers can solve EA's problems, i hope they see that and working hard on that because more BR games are coming and the competition gonna be hard only a quality product will survive and Apex is far from that point atm.
