Looking for a spot to read complaints about the new map without swimming though a bunch of whiny posts. Let's try and articulate our complaints in a mature manner. I'll go first.
The new map isn't fun. Here's why I think so:
Too open and boring in some areas while others are cramped.
Cramped and loot heavy areas create specific hot drops that most players are always dropping to because they don't want to spend time running across a bunch of open space with no loot.
Because of these cramped areas the third party problem has turned into a 4th party, 5th party, 6th party problem. Almost every match I've played on the new map I have found "battle areas" with many boxes littered around. I rarely saw this on older maps until maybe toward the end of the match.
Getting into a fight with one team, winning, then immediately facing another team is frustrating. Facing a team, winning, facing another, winning, then facing more and more non-stop because of the third owtty situation is not fun on any level. If I wanted to play arena shooters I'd jump on CoD or something.
WAY too many ways to fall off the map with very little, if any, indicators on edges of the map. There are a lot of places where it looks safe to jump and isn't. There are a lot of places where it looks like jumping will land you on a floor below but won't. How many times have we jumped to another floor knowing there was something to land on but that little hole in the floor that's there for zero reason just so happens to be where you land?
These are my biggest gripes surrounding the new map. It's almost like they wanted a vehicle in a map so bad that they created something too open to satisfy their curiosity as opposed to adding to our experience.

There's a Simple Way to play this map, but maybe most won't want to, and this is to Sneek around!
Plus, no one should ever just blindly run from place to place on the map, it's the best way to end up in trouble.
I have been sneeking around since Olympus started, and I have some pretty good stats. I play daily as a Random, and I have not met one person with stats as good as mine, I'm not trying to toot my own horn, but I know how to play the game, the Stats speak for themselves.
206 Season 7 Kills
16 Season 7 Wins
Sneek around more and look around more, pay more attention, and you'll run into less problems with 3rd parties, I do...
P.S. I'm LVL500 I think I know how to play, and Coach people in this game, and 1900 hours!

I understand the sneaking around. I don't mind it a little bit. I did it a lot on the other maps. I just feel like TOO MICH sneaking is required to grt kills and rock wins. I don't play Apex to be bored for 10 minutes then get rocked in 2 seconds by campers.
And as a side point; I'm not sure wth is going on with matchmaking right now but i am unable to get a lobby without playing against some insanely good players. By comparison I suck.

@ItsTardyjayOverall I like the new map, my only complaints are that around the waterfall it gets pretty laggy and in certain areas the sound just gets muffled or muted whatever idk how to describe it like in the building under the waterfall I always lose sound
Every lobby seems different, some matches it’s fight after fight and other matches your just basically looting til end game but it also depends on rotations Ive won around 10 games this season so far and Im not really a pro
Idk the names of the areas just because I never botherred to memorize the map, basically I just call the building in the middle the giant PS5 lol and then theres those 3 buildings with multiple floors full of loot, the black dome portal area thingy, the one where theres those 2 buildings with rooms at the top with tunnels and underneath has the gold knockdown shield in the basement, and the UFO place that usually has gold weapons are where I tend to drop the most tbh but I usually just relinquish jumpmaster and go where ever the teammates wanna go because idc

Blind gaps from high to low ground where you can jump to go after someone and just die instantly because you cant see the void unless looking straight down it sucks and the massive spans of open fields with no cover or means of escape your just screwed if you need to cross some regions its duck hunt for campy cancer outside of those 2 things its fine

This topic is probably more suited to the Map Feedback forum, but I'm happy most spammers won't notice this thread
I'm generally quite pleased with the map. It's visually stunning, not too heavy on my computer (COUGH WATERFALL COUGH), and a lot of different play styles are possible.
The issues for me are mostly:
