Vortex Grenade:
Rare Drop
Throws like arc star or thermite grenade.
Can only stack one grenade
Grenade thrown at target location pulls enemies and enemy traps(maybe) (within a 10 meter radius?) to it for a short duration.
I think this would be a really rad grenade added to apex legends, not sure how hard coding would be for this to work but any thoughts or edits on this guys?

Something similar like your vortex grenade is the gravity grenade form Titanfall II! It sucks enemies into a spot, disabling their movement.
I do think it should be stacked up to 2 grenades in the inventory, just like the other ones.

I'd love to see new grenades and throwing weapons so long as they are worked on before hand. As it stands right now, grenades are stupid. Get yourself a purple or gold backpack (Which are really damn common) and you can have a ridiculous amount of grenades. The amount of times I have been spammed with arcstars and thermite is just unreal and it needs to * stop. Not only that but the blast radious is even more insane than the amount of grenades you are able to carry.
Before they introduce new grenades and throwing type weapons they need to 1) Tweak the blast radious and 2) Put a severe limit on how many grenades you can carry.
I have no issue with grenade damage. I think the damage is fine but the radious and there being no real limit to what you can hold is ridiculous.

Yeah I feel that, like max amount of grenades you can carry is 6.
That gravity star is sick! Should be labeled "Gravity Arc Star" And still be rare drop imo, rare drops are still common but this grenade would definitely be game changing for those last rings.

I think because Apex is a fast moving / mobility focused game is exactly why this kind of grenade is a great idea as its purpose is to take away someone's mobility. It's usefulness is always going to come down to it's radius and duration.
I imagine because of its existence in Titanfall it will almost certainly make its way to Apex at some point.

Sounds interesting. And maybe there could be one more grenade type with opposite effect than this Vortex grenade. When activated, it could push everything away.
When both grenades were activated in the same place, they would both cancel each other effect.

No, that’s effectively three kills for zero effort. Potentially even three squad wipes if you get lucky with whole teams looting the same box or whatever.
this sort of thing works in standard MP where you can respawn but in you can’t have something with no ability to counter it. Especially considering how common getting 3rd partied is in this game as it is...!

A wrong move is already enough to get killed, however i would love to see this grenade being used on the edge of the maps.
Would make a funny grenade kill compilation tho.

I think maybe you need to play Titanfall 2 to see what "fast moving/mobility focused" actually is.
Apex is one of the slowest paced shooters I have ever played and I have been playing online shooters since Quake 1. Apex is almost as slow as Battlefield.
Nonetheless if it works in Titanfall 2, then it will work fine in Apex.

Okay, I'm a little guilty of this myself. I will try to carry as many as I can to toss at enemies as I'm running up to them. Causes panic and confusion.
What would you rather have?
I can't confirm these are the ideas above being pursued by the team. Just spit-balling some ideas here because it's a great discussion.
