- Your level in apex says almost nothing about how good you are at the game.
- When you play ranked ( and then yes MMR should exist ) it should pair you up with players that have your mmr. ( Not your level or whatever is doing that right now )
- Ranking up is impossible solo. Almost every predator did it with good teammates.
So im going to play casual games.
- Forcing good players to play 3v1's ( the other 2 squadmemers are human bots ) is just as bad as oldschool games AI starts cheating to make the game harder for you.
- MMR does not belong in casual mode.
I don't play solo anymore because i don't want to jump on the train or the mirage ship every time im not the jumpmaster.
Just to see my teammates get lazered and then spam the red ping so i don't hear anything anymore.
Or worse, They start screaming in their $2,- badly configured mic telling me i'm somehow verry bad at this game for not eleminating every enemy there with my fists or P2020.
I suck at this game because they got downed on landing. And im not even the jumpmaster! Logic!
And i don't see how i get matched up with 2 of those guys. And then the championsquad is 3x 15K kills all possible badges predator _TTV personaly trained by shroud himself to keep his legacy going.
And every single person on that champion squad outplays and shoot me so hard Apex almost gets deleted from my computer in the process, And i can hear the tears in my random teammates $2,- mic. That he has been killed by another cheater because every person that can hit more then 2 bullets in a row is must have software supporting him.
1 times is ok. But somehow the MMR bot of apex legends thinks i should be matched up against such players every match.
Seems to me the MMR bot of apex legends sepparates people in 2 groups.
- You can hit shots ( 1 person in every squad )
- You can't hit shots ( 2 persons in every squad )
Announce to the world we have a operational MMR system in place in apex legends!
Or 2 friends wanting to play this game together get stuck with me in a match.
Obviously im a terrible player because i am not part of their real life social circle or share the same made up clantag as them.
So i have to do without any usefull loot pings from my teammates and after the match everything that went bad is 100% my fault,
( yes even if they mis every bullet its my fault )
I was so terrible at this game that their amazing skills got pulled down so hard they din't stand a chance in that first gunfight anymore!
I'm a total noob because i did not position myself without the help of 1 usefull ping. Their combined brainwaves should have been able to reach me you would say right?
So i just cry myself to sleep because [NGR]Trololord and [NGR]Lordtrolol Told me the obvious truth after they got their superior * kicked by terrible players.
That it was all my fault somehow.
S0 And S1 had better matchups because back then i atleast sometimes got a teammate able to move his mouse the way it should in a FPS game and after a decent game try a few more to see if we could achieve a win.
But i guess that is just refering back to good old times.
Because the apex legends developers detected some fun. And it has to be eliminated!
I don't have a good solution for your mmr thing that is going on right now.
But check out what you did in S0 and S1 at least for the casual side of this game. ( non ranked )
I at least had some fun back then solo. Maybe give that a try again.

@DaAceXDWell in a prior thread you said it sounds like the problem was the player not the game. Is that the case here too?
I’m asking because I happen to agree with you on this point. But people can look at this post and say it’s just you, the mmr in casual is fine for solo play.
The treat where you say this game is a RNG fest, Everybody dies on landing and becouse kings canyon is terrible you are able to hide into the top 5?
To be honist i don't see any matching topics with both our posts.
even the subject is completely different.
You were talking about the map.
And im talking about a terrible matchup system.
And if people read this post and think im bad at this game that is fine.
since im clearly stating im getting matched against insane players and my teammates are terrible.
So im basicaly saying there are people out there better then me.

Like I said, I happen to agree with you on this post. But I also believe that anyone can chalk any criticism up to a 'git gud', which misses the point of the feedback regardless of what's being said or the topic.
You say they are disassociated but they both are related in that it's about Apex being fun to play. On the MMR front, I completely agree that you really can't tell the difference between a person who ends the game higher because they killed a lot of people or hid the whole time. According to Apex, they have the same skill...because they placed the same. Even if you separate kills and placement, you still have people higher ranked in a hidden MMR system with wildly different ways to play. My complaint was that KC allows for this kind of misplaced difference in the way people play far more; it encourages it in fact.
But like you said, let's just talk about the MMR system. Could be any map. there should be no mmr, no sbmm whatsoever, in standard Apex game mode. That's how it was in the beginning because even if there were a system, nobody played yet. To worry about skill in a game with 60 people, in casual mode, really makes no sense to me, either.
On the other hand, when you play ranked, there needs to be more. If you ask me, KC would need ridiculous overhaul to make it good for ranked, so might as well make a new map. But even in World's Edge, people need to be ranked better. When WE was the ranked map, I played with 2 others or a full team regularly, to avoid the problem. If you're loading up single, it's just not good right now. You have people who like dropping into the hot zone right away, people who like to gear up before a fight, and people who like to hide until the very end. How do you measure that? Epic probably needs to ask themselves what they want this game to look like and figure out how to match people, and design the game, for a better result.
