Hello there, i'm koywe from Chile and i wanted to tell my experience playing for a month this game. My first impression was, "this game is amazing", weapons feel so good and Legends are fun to play.
But the rest has been a nightmare. I explain, the "Play Apex" or normal mode is, for me, is to fall on the map and get killed instantly by one or two consecutive headshots. I don't want to think they are cheaters, just good players. The problem is that later, my teammates (because i'm forced to play with two more players) usually leave me behind or prefer loot instead reviving me. When i am the jumpmaster, they leave me alone. When i survive and they not, they insult me. Why i'm forced to play with two people i don't know? Why i can't play solo, or duo?
The other and the bigger problem i have is with rankeds. In bronce 4, Brazilian server (i'm forced to play in brazilian server with toxic brazilians because I leave in a third world country and nobody in EA cares about), i have to wait for more than 40 minutes in matchmaking, and when the game starts, i have only one companion (the third player is DC). When i have full squad, well... they are complete * and i have to watch them loot and hide like little rats for 15 minutes because if I quit, game penalizes me for leaving. The only mode i can really play and learn is the firing range, and its boring, you will understand me.
I think this game is too stressful for new people, and that won't really make them progress. As players, and as a game. I wish they could fix the issue of queues, penalties and please ... GET SOLO QUEUE PLEASE!
Thanks for reading my awful english

My tips for this would be, First, practice in the Firing Range, it is very helpful, I use it becuase I have players leave me all the time, I just try to stick it out, but the Firing Range helps with being Solo against lots of other people. Activate the Easter Egg (If you don't know how to do that there are plenty of YouTube videos on it) and try and survive. Practice all the basics over and over again. I am pretty good at the game, but even pros have to keep the basics of the game sharp. Second, if your team is being toxic, mute them. Third, you can leave once your respawn times out unless they picked up your banner. Fourth, they did have Solos and Duos, but they were only LTMs, I would also love to see them in the game again. Fifth, Just stick with the game, I promise the more you play the better you will become. Sixth, you have amazing English, much better than some college students that I know.

@koyweIf you are truely a new player, be thankful SBMM is in your favor and is a hell of alot easier than it was without SBMM when it was completely random when I first started the game... dying is part of the game, just try and think about why your dying and what you can do to improve maybe your not hiding behind cover during fights, maybe your enemy had the high ground, or maybe your aim isn’t that great just practice in the firing range theres even a easter egg to make the targets come to life in the firing range so you can practice them as if they are normal players and they even fire weapons back at you (but they are alot slower with their movements) its still good practice though
It says Ive played apex for 860 hours (not 1k+ like I assumed) anyways I still die alot... its part of SBMM because your being matched with opponents that are all the same skill as you or even way better than you. This is why we have been complaining about SBMM is because its not fun anymore compared to when it was completely random I used to die to pros and spectate them or play with them on my team and learn from them but with SBMM 99% of the time that isnt the case The only 2 pros Ive seen in months (that I recognize by name are Neenie and I just ran into Diegosaurs as champion on my very first game of the day lmao I was like OH SH** but wasn’t mad at all Diegos #8 in predators if i remember correctly literally one of the best of the best and Im not upset he was in my game. i actually enjoyed it because we had a good laugh about it like ‘’should we all just kill ourselves now’’ I think Diegos the one that killed me eventually but I left and then was like dang i didnt spectate diego, both of these instances happened in the last week though, so maybe SBMM was changed recently? Or did I improve im no wheres close to there skill level...
