LEAVING PENALTY- People who leave before they have OFFICIALLY DIED get a xp penalty for the first 3 offenses after the first 3 it is the suspension and a xp penalty on return. Your penalty will reset after a week example. You leave a game monday, if you wait until next monday and leave then it will be the 1st offense again because it resets after a week. -1st Offense- 5% xp reduction -2nd Offense- 10% xp reduction -3rd Offense- 20% xp reduction The xp reduction makes it slower to level up so no Legend tokens and or Apex crate. I don't think a time suspension is need for the first 3 because sometimes you just have to get off the game because life. -4th Offense- 30% xp reduction & 1 day suspension -5th Offense- 50% xp reduction 3 day suspension You will get the penalty of suspension and or xp reduction if it turns to the next week but you got it lest week. Example, you got suspended on sunday and reset is monday you will still be suspended until Wednesday and will have the xp reduction on return. The xp reductions last 24 hours for the first 2 offenses the last 3 offenses last 48 hours. I honestly feel like this will keep People from leaving. As for the cheating thats a permanent ban. If it's a small exploit like hiding inside a rock 1 week suspension. But straight up hacking is a permanent ban or serious.

I suggest the Blizzard way of banning people via IP address.

I agree, there shouldn't necessarily be a penalty considering some people are experiencing crashes. However I've had at least 1 person (sometimes both) leave as soon as we drop in the last 5 games I've played. It's not the end of the world but its a fairly large handicap coming up against a full squad. Maybe a penalty for a certain number of leaves? Sumfin.

Game crash
Emergency in the real world
Obligations in the real world
Hardware faults
The game is crashing for all combinations of people so what might look like a rage quit is people doing other things and punishing people for this would be absurd.

Blizzard (or anyone) does not ban IP address. That would be pointless, because in most broadband markets, user IP addresses change every time their modem reconnects.
Blizzard (or anyone) does not ban hardware-ID, because it does not exist. Intel tried to introduce a CPU-ID, but was banned from doing so by the EU.
There are really only a few viable strategies to deal with cheaters.
1. ban their account.. in F2P games they just make another one
2. put cheaters into their own "cheater queue" (several games do this, and it's actually quite smart, but they can still make another account)
3. let people "authenticate" their account somehow to get into a premium queue (with mobile number, credit card, imei, etc) - so you can ban that ID.. howeveer, all these IDs are easy to replace for cheaters as well, just a little harder
4. use more server-side validation -- but there is a limit to how much you can do this in a fast-action FPS
5. use game-streaming, so the client runs in the cloud -- but then everyone experiences internet latency input lag
6. beg microsoft to put in better OS-level process protection, to stop cheats from seeing into games processes (Good luck)

I agree. I can't always play with friends to know who's on my squad. I think people should be penalized for leaving unless it's a server issue where a player is disconnected by no fault of their own. Maybe people that leave should lose something. I'm not sure what but since the game revolves around a 3 person squad it isn't very helpful when one or two people leave. I'm admittedly not that good so when people bail on me I can usually survive until the last few squads but once the storm forces us to close in I'm usually killed quickly by a full squad that, by myself, stands little to no chance of winning.

Don't rely on Microsoft to do anything for anyone other than Mircosoft sure they give windows 10 away like it's pamphlets on climate change, Windows 10 is a horrid creation thats added no more performance or securtiy benefits the UI is overall worse basically it's a MAC wanabe desktop, A Debian flavour is my choice be great if they made a sound drivers that had full function and accelerated performance like windows has.
