Ok E.A... this is an interesting one.. So I was on Apex yesterday and I really wanted the new Pathfinder Skin and the new bloodhound skin, so I did what any sensible person would do.. I bought out the entire Iron Crown Event for $170 give or take. About an hour later I find out that you guys apologized about how expensive it was and that you are changing the purchase options??? I literally spent over $150 to get the most awesome things to ever come to this game, and an hour later u guys cheat me by rotating the merch on the regular store? Can I get some compensation or at least some acknowledgement over here??m

Them putting the skins on the store at full price (1800 coins EACH, $216 for just 12, that is half of what you got) is WAY more expensive than the 170 you spent. Be happy you have the extra money to blow on digital "I want!" stuff, there are a lot of us who just cannot justify that, because we need to eat. Or pay bills. I would rather get an arcade title or full on AAA title to enjoy for my money, instead of for a skin OTHER PEOPLE see most of the time. Especially for the prices they are sharking us with.

U did not want to buy out the entire store to get those 2 new skins. Have the option I would have bought them for $18 each

It's EA, they're greedy and money hungry, and that thought process goes into every single decision that happens with games published by them. At this point it's safe to assume that this was planned for multiple reasons.
Firstly, if you acknowledge that the pricing is a problem and move to rectify it, a way to save face would be to put the skins up for a discounted price and have a way for people who've bought packs to return the items they've gotten for their weight back in Apex Coins. Instead, we have a rotating store for all legendary skins at full price. There's no mention of anything refund related meaning the people who were unlucky and spent 168$ to get the one skin they wanted, are truly screwed.
Secondly their "apology" is flimsy at best. All it does is very vaguely say that, "Hey we were wrong, we don't know what we're doing, and even though we've included no way of players getting their money back for packs they bought because they didn't get the item they wanted, we don't want to squeeze every last dime out of our players." Add onto this that they say, "...we've been learning a lot about operating a live service free-to-play game..." quite literally means nothing. Free to play games, especially ones like Apex, have been around for a long time. Pricing cosmetic items, making quality of life changes, further polishing the game, etc. etc. are all things that have been done quickly and successfully from multiple games that are free to play.
Lastly their last paragraph is a completely contradictory. They say, "Our goal has not been to squeeze every last dime out of our players..." Yet release a lootbox that's seven times as expensive as the one currently implemented, that only gives you one item out of a prize pool of 24 different items. Meaning if you don't get the skin you want with the two free boxes, you have to make a choice between missing out on the item you want, OR spending up to 154 dollars to get it. Once again, for those who have ALREADY spent 168$ getting all the skins, not to mention the 35$ extra for the heirloom, there's NO mention of any sort of refund. The Legendary Hunt event is a perfect example of how flimsy this apology is. That event gave us FIVE skins, 2 of which were only available for battle pass owners (a measly 10 dollars), meaning if you had the pass and did all the missions, you got 5 skins, 3 of which were legendary. Just going by Apex Coin pricing in the store, for 10 dollars, you got 3 legendary skins which would've gone for 18 dollars apiece. Meaning just by paying TEN DOLLARS, you got FIFTY FOUR DOLLARS IN SKINS for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
TL;DR Don't believe the apology, EA knows exactly what they're doing with their lootbox pricing AND with lootboxes in general. They've done an event before that gave ALL players, paid or not, great skins without charging ANYONE an extra dime.
