Yes, might be a good idea to seperate the playerbase on those modes. That's what I like about the elite system, they got going now. The new players and quite some times heavy looters can be found in the basic mode while the more combat oriented players - and sadly campers who just care about keeping up with their win streak :/ ( I once found a whole squad camping on top of a random tower the whole game ) - are playing the elite mode.

1. You probably never play PUBG, one of the first of this genre. It's way more slower, the map is much bigger, and the players are much much slower. I meant Apex is very forgiving already, the mobility is so much higher than PUBG.
Yes, I've never played it before. Even if it is better - is it perfect? Can't it be improved? Not trying to be disrespectful but comparing two things, declaring one beeing superior and taking that as a reason that it cant be improved further is kinda well .. flawed reasoning :D.
2. im wondering if we play the same game, ammo is the least thing we should worry about, it's ... everywhere.
Precisely. And that's kinda boring. There is no shortage at the moment. You can basically spam bullets all day long. Which makes the concept of Ammunition obsolete - most of the time. It just takes up inventory space.
3. It's BR, the first min is for getting stuff. It's what people love about this genre. I tried many BR games before, from PUBG, Island of Nyne, Blackout, BF Firestorm. This game's looting is just right compare to others.
That's why BR is not for everyone. You probably should try PUBG to understand the struggle, then you probably will find Apex is not that hard to find item, and does not take that long to loot.
I'd comment the same as in the my first point. It is better, yes. It doesn't take THAT long, agreed. But does it add any value to the game experience? It is exiting to find some legendary gear every now and then - okay. I get that. Beeing forced to pick up 2 stacks of shield cells and med kids, finding your basic body shield and helmet, simply smashing the e button while looking at the ground - well. Not that exciting. On a side note: If you play with randoms, I see many players getting killed, bc they're so focussed on looting stuff that they dont notice anything else.
Don't you think, that making loot occure more rarely whilst spawning with the very basic needs would make the looting feel more rewarding and less tedious? Instead of chosing a loadout there could be a random set of loadouts to spawn with - that would also circumvent the unnessessary looting.
I inteded this thread to be about brainstorming impovements - because there is always something you one can make better as it is .

Don't get it wrong, i didn't say it's better that way. I said Apex is already more casual approach and much faster pace.

If you ask me whether it adds any value to the game experience, I would say YES.
Look, the whole process of gearing up is what define BR genre. There are many ways to do it, from looting, fighting or being a third party . Some ppl like to play defensively, while others get items through fighting. It made BR so fun, if you start the game a gun of your choice, and play the game the way you want, it's not BR already. BR is all about adapting to diff situations, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you start poor, every match give diff experience.
