Can have the best accuracy with an AR, SMG or LMG, the moment your target is using a peacekeeper, you better hope you get the drop on him from 30m+ otherwise, if both of you have equal skill, he will drop you faster than anything.
The peacekeeper makes the EVA-8 useless, it also beats SMGs in their own niche (short to medium range) and it's so easy to use while, on top of all that, the game forces you in CQC the later in the game you are. If you get the special choke, GG you can 3-4hit drop people at medium range as well.

Anecdotal evidence you're giving right there.
I'll give you stats, concrete data:
Eva-8: Maximum damage per shot = 63 for a body shot or 90 for a headshot.
Peacekeeper: Maximum damage per shot = 110 for a body shot or 165 for a headshot.
Also, you only get 2 more rounds compared to the PK.
So yeah, objectively speaking, PK beats every shotgun and SMG.
There's a reason it's becoming a meme weapon on YT.

I'm level 49. I agree on the peacekeeper nerf. I'm tired of just getting dumpstered 1-shot randomly by someone coming around a corner. Literally everyone uses the peacekeeper as their close range and an g7/longbow/triple as their long range.

I really feel like it doesn't even have to be said at this point. I'm sure they're well aware how broken this gun is. And the inability to hear nearby footsteps(supposedly only for some of us) makes it twice as bad.

1)Eva shoots twice by the time the PK shoots once so the EVA can deal about 126 damage if all pellets hit while PK deals 110. Therefore, the EVA can deal a max of 504 damage before having to reload while PK can deal up to 660 damage. Also, anybody using PK knows how to use it: around a corner. So you peek + shoot, take cover, then peek + shoot again ad infinitum. Therefore, the only time the EVA will actually manage to shoot all his shots at somebody using a PK is when the PK user is stuck out in the open instead of hugging cover or a corner. Same for wingman. It's DPS is rather low but because it deals so much damage per shot, with a corner around you can do the same strat and drop people a LOT faster than any SMG, AR or LMG could because you can break the line of sight without losing DPS.
2)There is no damage drop off in the game, it's only the amount of pellets hitting that makes the damage and the PK has 11 while the EVA has 9 so your chances of landing more pellets goes with PK actually. Also, you can get the special choke, which isn't too rare, for PK that transforms it into a DMR/sniper.
3)SMGs need a severe buff because they don't even have a niche ATM. ARs, LMGs and DMRs (ie: G7 scout) are kings at medium range, so short range is about shotguns and SMGs, thing is you can unload a whole clip into somebody and, unless you have 100% accuracy or your target is AFK, you will not kill a fully shielded target where as shotguns, but even more so the PK, will effortlessly. For prowler to beat a shotgun user in CQC, the prowler needs to be equip with firing mode mod and the shotgun user need to have bad accuracy.
