Months after launch, hundreds of thousands of players supposedly banned, yet brazen cheating is still frequent.
Regardless of what content accompanies the next season pass, I won't be buying it unless the issue of cheating is properly addressed.
I grew up during the golden age of online multiplayer, when we had private servers, where cheaters were exceptionally rare, and could be quickly & easily dealt with there and then by admins.
Where communities existed around each server, leading to more meaningful & memorable games with & against players you were familiar with.
Where your ping was determined by nothing more than the connection quality of server & client, and latency was something quantifiable that players could adapt to.
Back then most could only dream of a 30ms ping; 56k modems were stuck at 150-200ms, ISDN roughly half that.
To think with all our networking advances, we're stuck playing modern games with net code that's so overburdened with lag compensation, and servers so under provisioned and over virtualized, that we're seeing 500ms+ of latency between clients.
It's kinda sad what 'competitive' multiplayer has devolved into in order to accommodate the mass market.

Really need the in-game reporting feature to work during the game over & winners screen.
It's a little galling to fight your way through a game, only to be aimbotted by the last team (which will inevitably happen in most games that contain 1 or more cheaters), and then have no automated means of reporting them.
If a human spectator can gauge within seconds whether an opponent is cheating, why don't AI-driven cheat detection engines exist?
At the very least there should be a heuristic guided system that places players on a suspect list, for closer study.
It's a pretty damn simple heuristic too....
For any given K/D, a cheater will typically have a lower than average APM, and a higher than average accuracy and headshot rate.
I suspect their out-of-combat movement habits would also be a big give-away, as legitimate players have only sound (& experience) to work off rather than full-blown ESP.

I got video proof from geforce instant replay, but I forgot to do the in game report. Can I still not report a cheater here? I can post the youtube video

Cheats and bad sportsmanship or abuse reported by Xbox never goes anywhere too many people have got the * opinion that you cannot cheat on Xbox So reports never get looked at properly even with video evidence
