I swear when this game kicked off there was no auto aim.
Not true anymore. Witnessed my gun seek an enemy of its own accord. Did I just imagine that this game launched with no auto aim on PS4?
For real man. The only problem I have is the aim assist PULLING MY AIM OFF OF PEOPLE. I THOUGHT IT WAS MADE TO HELP NOT SCREW ME OVER
- @CrackerMan70 sounds like someone is bad even with aim assist :D :D :D
- @marinesniper235 the point is that mediocre casuals can beat better players
- @CrackerMan70 You can turn it off ya know?
And yes it does get in the way at times. I play with it off occasionally - @manslashmonkey There was aim assist since day 1. I think it was worse then too.
- @RevMainPls That is so not true xD aim assist is not that good. If you pair an average player against an average mnk player my money is on the mnk player.
- @SolitaryMassacre Ever considered that the avg skilllvl of a MnK player is higher than the avg skilllvl of a controlerplayer?
If you would make that test then you would need 2 equal skilled people with same amount of time invested into FPS, and yes then the MnK player would lose most 1on1s
And that is simple logic - KB&M is raw input. It's all up to your skill.
Console: 0.6 aim assist power. You know what 1.0 means.
Get rid of aim assist, i deal with crossplay no problem. I agree with you. - @RevMainPls "Ever considered that the avg skilllvl of a MnK player is higher than the avg skilllvl of a controlerplayer?" This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard anyone say xD how can one be average but yet higher than the other? That makes zero logical sense my friend.
No MNK would not lose out of say 100 trials. MNK have so many advantages over controller that aim assist is literally nothing for the controller player. Your logic is very flawed and here's why:
Aiming:
A mouse is a straight input to the game. There is not one single amount of post processing the input. A person can control how fast the character moves simply by controlling how fast their hand moves on the desk. A controller has zero control mid game. They push a joystick that has only 0 - 1 levels of movement. The controller converts a voltage signal into a threshold of 0 to 1. 1 is max, you cannot go higher than that, period. 0 is nothing at all. Your range of in between is as good as the controller. Most controllers have the same range ~1cm of space on each axis. Making micro adjustments is near impossible.
A mouse can make micro adjustments in either the x or y axis very easily due to it being an actual distance moved that is translated to aim movement. In addition, a controller has its x and y movements tied. It is next to impossible to make a fine movement in one axis and not affect the other axis. Aim assist ONLY tries to help with those finer movements, most times it causes issues. This is NOT a point to shoot game like COD. There are many things that a player must do to hit their shots - and a mouse enables them all the control.
This is just aiming, I will not get into all the other advantages MNK have with movement and overall gameplay (ie key button bindings, macros, you name it)
