This is in response to another thread. Decided to make my own considering the amount of time I spent writting this. I seriously hope the devs see it. Let me know what you guys think!
Sorry for wall of text.
1)Sometimes you spawn and are stuck with alternator or P2020. Those weapons are actually completely useless. You are better off running away from an engagement and continue looting until you find something better or go full melee mode crossing your fingers you can drop somebody and get his stuff. Spawns need to be "rebalanced" imo.
2)Upgrades (stock, barrel, etc.) are too good. Unless we are talking about shotguns, ARs and SMGs are really bad when they have no upgrade. Some of the effects of the upgrades need to be dialed down but given to the weapons in their stock form. Bit stupid your character has soapy hands until the moment he puts a barrel and/or stock on his weapon.
3)It's unacceptable that high pingers have an advantage as they can shoot you even after you are behind cover. The networking is the worse of any triple A title currently on the market. Just need to look battlenonsense's vid:
4)Some weapons are only somewhat DECENT once fully upgraded (flatline, hemlock, prowler, longbow, etc) while others are strong as hell from the get-go (wingman, eva-8, PK, havoc, spitfire, R-301, R-99). Others are a complete joke : triple take is only decent if you land all 3 shots and that takes a lot of time with precision choke, alternator is stupidly inacurrate even when fully upgraded, prowler sucks even in full auto compared to R-99/R-301, for the P2020... you do more DPS using your fist unless your target stands still... oh and the mozambique... meme gun that only serves as a mean to disrespect somebody). Lots of weapons need buffing and some (ie: pk) need nerfing.
5)Legend balance is not too bad but still needs some work:
-BloodHound's ult lasts too long. Also, sideway speed should not be buffed as it rewards way too much the ADAD spammers. It's a tracking/hunting down tool, not a sonic the hedgehog on speed transformation.
-Bangalore's passive has a too short CD and should only trigger if she ISN'T facing the direction the bullets are coming from (so it's a retreating tool, not an engaging tool). Speed boost should also only work for foward movement and not sideways as it rewards too much the ADAD spammers. Her ult should not affect teamates.
-Pathfinder's passive is a joke. You may be able to use it once or twice per game and it's extremely rarely going to be late game which is where it would be the most important time to use it.
-Wraith's passive is too good. She's already so hard to punish when she's out in the open (with her available abilities) but you also make it impossible for snipers to wait for a good shot because she knows instantly you are aiming at her.
-Caustic requires way too much planning to be reliable to use. His gas does puny damage and the slowing/blinding effect goes away the second you step out of the clouds. It also is extremely annoying for his teamates as well. Anybody that took 2 second to learn about caustic knows he can disable + remove caustic's traps by shooting the base. Easy to counter (bloodhound, engaging from distance or in open ground). You need your teamates to build around you and play around you. Badly designed. Needs several buffs in 2 ways. First, the damage should be transformed into a DoT. The DoT's damage and duration (once out of cloud(s)) would scale with how long somebody remains inside of a gas cloud plus by the amount of instances of gas (traps/grenade) affecting him/her. Second, it should not affect teamates.
-Mirage's passive is COMPLETELY useless. His tactical is ok and can be useful but his ultimate is meh. When you see 4+ copies of a mirage you know he went invisible so it's useless to shoot at any of them and you should simply look for a "cloaked" shadow. Trained eyes can easily spot him when he's "invisible".
-Giblaltar: he's so big, his frontal shield should cover his head and his feet as well. IMO he should have a "powerup" version of it that allows him to transform his frontal shield into a wider one that could also cover teamates behind him though he would not be able to use any weapon himself as he's moving with the "powerered up" version of his shield. His ult should not affect teamates.
-Lifeline: probably the most balanced hero around.
Last thing about legend balance: why do we have small tiny heroes (such as wraith and lifeline) have the same tankiness as the "tank" characters (caustic and gibraltar). Characters with bigger hitboxes need more hp to compensate for how easier of a target they are. That's basic knowledge.
6)Cheaters is a major problem for a F2P title. Once banned a cheating PoS can simply make a new account. Plus, 16k cheaters being banned is insignificant (16k / 25mil = 0.00064%... I'd be extremely surprised if that's even 1% of the cheaters in the game). It's nice that they are working on it, but it's currently not enough sadly.
7)Lack of a proper matchmaking is really turning me and a lot of casual players off (you know, the ones with responsabilities that doesn't allow them to play 12h/day). Being cannon fodder is only entertaining the first few days. I'm pretty good in other FPS titles (such as bf1-bf5) but still can't win against somebody spending half his day playing FPS titles.
8)Microtransactions need a overhaul. All skins should be available for a direct purchase. Lootboxes should only be there to reward players as they progress through their levels (or if people want to try out getting stuff via gambling) but they shouldn't be the only possible way for people to acquire skins. People that reached lvl 100 should be able to reach 101, get a crate/loot box as a reward and then have their lvl sent back to 100 again so they can lvl back up to 101 to gain another crate/loot box (or a leveling system similar to overwatch). Crafting metals should be rewarded for top squads (say top 3 or top 5). Prices for skins need to be toned down... WTF 18$ for a single legendary skin and 11$ for an epic skin... that's too much. A 13$ CAD apex coins (1000) pack should be enough for a legendary skin. We shouldn't have to get the 24$ AC pack just to get a single legendary and then be stuck with a tiny amount left, pushing us into buying another pack so we can get anything good. That's predatory and scummy.

I don't want to see hardly any changes made to this game. I like the alternator, its a really decent close range gun with the slower rate of fire you can be more accurate. The p2020 i've never had much luck with but I still wouldn't change it -- i like the fact that its underpowered, it certainly makes the game more interesting.
The last thing this game needs is to start "balancing" things. The game already has a great balance, but other players experiences will vary. I for one am terrible with the Havoc but I love the alternator, so we would have vastly different opinions on how to 'balance' something.
I've seen it time and time again games start making nerfs and buffs based on feedback of random players until the entire game is just boring and all the guns and shooting mechanics are vastly different from what you started with. Destiny 1 was incredibly fun before things were 'balanced'. PUBG was great before they changed the way almost every gun fired.
There's a good amount of fun to be had in the randomness of things. Having it a bit unbalanced may even make it more fun in my opinion. I've had drops where I was stuck with a double mozambique loadout but I still managed to squad wipe a team which ended up being one of the most hilarious experiences I've had gaming.
The tick rate could certainly be higher for the game, hopefully they will optimize it in that regard, but I really haven't seen too many hitbox problems like dying around corners etc , for the most part it seems pretty spot on.
Cheaters are unfortunately ubiquitous in PC gaming at this point, but I really enjoyed the hell out of the first 4 days after release before they developed cheats. Was consistently ranking about 2nd place before then. I don't expect Apex legends will be able to stop the cheaters better than any other video game currently out there. Figuring out a way to actually stop cheaters may be a task too big for even the video game industry, unfortunately. EA is rumored to be in talks with TenCent about bringing Apex to China which could be a disaster if we had a China playerbase added to the game. Unfortunately China lowers the bar when it comes to online multiplayer cheating, not that there aren't a ton of cheaters in the west too, but in China there are even LAN centers that advertise cheats to attract customers. I feel bad for the young generation of kids growing up trying to enjoy video games nowadays, they will never get to enjoy the 90's when the gaming community was relatively small and consisted of mostly hardcore gamers and cheating was pretty rare. Nowadays everyone plays video games instead of the people who are actually passionate about them, and unfortunately that consists of a whole bunch of people who want to cheat the system. I'll never understand how you can feel satisfied with a win knowing you cheated, but apparently its fun for some people I guess. From a technical perspective Apex won't be able to stop cheaters better than any other FPS game until a better solution is found for this problem.
I agree with you on the macro-transactions. I really want to throw a lot of money at this game, more than I already have, but I'm not going to pay $20 dollars for a cosmetic skin. Maybe the future of macro-transactions is games taking advantage of people with gambling habits and big wallets, and leaving the rest of the folks who have a budget hanging without cosmetics. I'm sure there's a lot of people who have thrown a ton of money into loot boxes already, but I just can't afford to do that. Overwatch has the fairest loot system currently, they should copy that model which would make everyone happy.

Do I get it right that you're only level 29 but you wanna give a full game feedback? Maybe you should play more before you give a full feedback.

@firebird-gabr1eL Wait, so I have to be a no-lifer if I want to be able to give feedback? What kind of ridiculous backwater place are you coming from? What level do you think I need to reach before I can be part of the "vets" of the game? /s
Nice try with your ad hominem.
I'v been playing FPS games since year 2000. I know how things work. Also, you don't need levels or playtime to analyse stats for weapons and compare them or to compare heroes. Either critique my points, add to the conversation or get loss with your uselessness.

@DARKEMPERORZUUL 100% agree with mtx and cheater's paragraphs. About not wanting balance, well, sadly it will be required. The current meta heavily favors certain weapons as those are too strong from the get-go without any upgrades (ie: PK, eva-8 and wingman) compared to the rest and then some weapons are just useless (ie: alternator and P2020) and it's not like the strenght of the weapons match their rarity to spawn in game which is what is supposed to happen. So yeah you have everybody run around with a primary + PK/EVA-8 or primary + wingman or even PK+wingman. It's boring and frustrating when you are facing squads all running around with PK. That crutch can down 3 people without having to reload but SMGs, for example, can only drop 1 person and damage a second one if all your shots hit and both are intended for CQC. Same for legend balance, some heroes are "must pick" and "top tier" atm (bloodhound, bangalore) while others suffer a lot (mainly caustic).
