So in the new Halloween event, I've noticed whenever you kill someone it drops a better version of their armor (could be random too but I've noticed it's usually at least higher quality than what they have currently). I actually quite like this concept and you may have already considered this hence why you added it into the event mode, but, I was thinking that it might actually be a good addition to the actual game modes too (both ranked and unranked)
The reason being that it's quite clear that third partying is the name of the game and it's quite frustrating when it happens to you as you're pretty much always at a disadvantage. This is because you won't be full health, you might have a downed team member, etc. Now my suggestion is, instead of having just their loot box, whenever you would kill someone it'd work similarly to how it does in the current Halloween event.
You kill someone, and they drop a death box but instead of their armor being inside the death box it drops next to it (same quality not higher like in the event) and in addition to this it could drop 1 clip of ammo of each gun that they're using altho the main thing here being the armor. I believe this would help quite a bit and make things more even when fighting off a third party that tries to take advantage of the fact you just got out of a fight.
I'm sure some people will say oh but third partying is part of the game. However, this isn't meant to stop third partying, the only goal here is to give people more equal chances to fend off a third party when just coming out of a fight. They'll still be at a disadvantage but at least it won't be as significant when having to try to shield swap fast enough from the death box while hoping you don't get hit before you swap, taking you out of the window.
I mean shouldn't it be more based on skill rather than whoever has the most patience to wait out fights and hope to get easy kills?
Edit: I was actually talking to some friends about it and based on the conversation it might be better to implement it in such a way that the way it works now stays the same. However, the only change being that shields only drop outside of the box if the entire squad is wiped. This is to prevent the encouragement of finishing squad members off for an easy shield swap mid-fight between two squads while still giving the more equal playing field against a third party.
