EA and Respawn taking actions against addiction

I my name is New, i was an addict. Before Sbmm, i was playing apex 2 to 4 hours a day, sometimes even more but im clean now. I didnt touch the game for about 2 or 3 weeks. I can now spend more times with my friends and family. I just want to put it out there even if you dont read thoses. Thank you Ea and thank you Respawn, i feel normal again.

@NewfeelinQcPfft 2-4 hours a day is nothing... i must be an extreeme uncurable addict XD but this is gaming in general... i gotta admit Im not playing apex nearly as much as I used to and have been more inclined to play fortnite or other Battle Royales lately because of the current state of apex but its more of an issue with matchmaking... im not really mad about Skill based matchmaking... but more mad about who it decides to queue me with... 90-95% of my games are bad teammate(s) who arn’t necessarily bad... but refuse to listen to a single thing you tell them and run in kamikaze style leaving you to 1 or 2 vs 3 and then you get 3rd partied.... its especially annoying in the final 3-4... ive lost so many games because they wouldn’t just get in the ring... if your a damn caustic get in the next damn ring and put some traps ahead of time in the damn building like what the hell this dude ran in kamikaze with 4 squads left lmao and these are lucky matches but most matches consist of doing hot drops like the party boat and dying within the first minute or 2... like seriously i have more fun playing 1 vs 3 than being 3 vs 3 in most of my games I may not get many kills unless i 3rd party when Im queued 1 vs 3 but I can atleast enjoy the game by myself 

ive also enjoyed the game much more as a duo after the 3rd player rage quit... until they give us solos/duos i feel apex legends is becoming more and more of a distant memory for me

@NewfeelinQc Before the help, I received from Apex'sAnonymous, I was playing 10 -12 hours per day and barely sleeping. I got into so much debt through constantly ordering off the internet, believing I was ''calling in a lifeline package''. I started vaping profusely and would blow large clouds around my village, shouting at the resident's ''popping smoke'' or ''calling in the chimney''. I was finally arrested around a month ago for theft, but I honestly just believed I was checking for loot in the area. From that day I was referred to Apex'sAnonymous and since then my life has changed for the better.

@VoKks9Honestly I was even worse than that XD, I sometimes played from like 10:30am to 6 pm ish then from like 9pm to 4 amish XD if I had nothing to do, some days I didn’t even take that break in between but i can’t play everyday of the week so its not like this was a everyday 24/7 type of thing but I was still doing it frequently when I was grinding battlepass levels or something to catch up but thats a gamers life for ya

@FaIIenAngeI777 Lol yeah, I usually have one game I'll play and I won't touch anything else. I used to play a game called ''Dead By Daylight'', had around 60 days worth of game time on it lmao.

@VoKks9 Dang idk how many hours I have on apex I can’t really look right now but I know its close to 1000 hours lol

@FaIIenAngeI777 Damn that's like 40 days worth of time, it sounds much worse when you think of your time in days IMO. I have just over 300 hours in Apex. But hey, if we enjoy it then it's cool. Some may consider gaming a waste of time but to us, their hobbies may be considered a waste of time.

@VoKks9 True I may not be at 1000 yet but the last time I checked it was 752 then I think it was at 867 or so when I glanced a couple weeks ago but I maybe wrong I started mid season 1, i never bought the battlepass I kinda wish I did to get that one wraith skin I was here for the event but just didn’t want to buy the battlepass because I was new and wasn’t sure if I was gonna like the game or have time to finish the battlepass (i never finished i think i got to like 76 or 78) i played the game for fun but didn’t really grind it back then, I think the only reason I really got hooked after season 2 is because i bought the battlepass so had some things to grind for, i still enjoy the octane skin and use it all the time but I don’t remember what the other rewards were decides the R-301 and skydive emotes

@FaIIenAngeI777 Ah ok, I did my 300 hours in the 1 month I've currently been playing. I did have a lot more free time to grind over the Christmas period though so that's why. I have reached level 248 in 1 month, although the train LTM has levelled me up insanely quick! xD

@VoKks9 I think im like 207 or so I farmed the train mode the first 2-3 days so I got to level 176 from it
