Nah its not a pretty random experience. Also its not majority of the players. But there are a lot of toxic players. And part of that is because theres no way to report players in the game for grieving, toxic behavior, or intentional in-game harassment. Only in game reporting system is for cheaters. Other wise you gotta go to origin to report toxic behavior, and I highly doubt Origin does anything about that.

@Tswag1435 The Apex community is a mixed bag... there are some real toxic idiots out there and there are also some really nice teammates. I wish there were a way to evaluate teammates, not so that they can be penalized, but just so toxic or solo players who don't play a team game can be grouped together in their own little toxic trios, and let players who want to work in a team be grouped without them.
But also the old, "do unto others.." adage is always worth remembering. Follow a few simple rules to help -
1) Ping stuff for teammates.
2) Stay close but try not to steal loot from under teammates noses (if your teammate pings to land somewhere and you land in front of him and grab everything leaving them with nothing it isn't going to make you any friends).
3) Don't take things dibs by teammates.
4) Go help out when they get in a fight or in trouble (if you don't have weapon or ammo, ping you inventory so they know you cannot really help them and you're not just being an idiot).
5) Revive and respawn if and when you can (if player dies and doesn't rage they are trusting in you to be a good teammate, if you can revive/respawn and you don't try you're just wasting their time)
6) Communicate... if you really can't help talk to them and say why.
7) If you want to play solo or are going to leave your team if they don't land where you want, tell them that politely on the character choose screen... and remember it's you who is expecting special treatment and that your needs be put first, the least you can do is be humble about it.
There are for sure a percentage of toxic idiots who will not change and don't care, but there are also many who call others toxic whilst being pretty toxic themselves.Just yesterday a player was complaining at me for not helping him in a fight. But we'd already been in one fight and I'd run into help him soon as it started, we won, but i was left with 10hp and white shields... he looted everything before I got a chance and gave me nothing. I had to run around looking for HP, which was when he got in 2nd fight. I couldn't help with no HP ammo or shields. Some people will always be tosspots, but often you be a better teammate and you get better teammates.

For anyone struggling to find regular teammates, friends or players of similar experience etc. check out the Find a Squad forum and feel free to make a post there:

Try to make it clear what your looking for such as the level of experience, the region you play in and what your goals are. But don't be afraid to just dive in and see what's around.
I think that making friends is a case of you get what you give so you have to put some effort into it.

@OhhhBABYOhhh Sry man but think that is a pretty reductive viewpoint. Those are the two "extremes" maybe, but in between you have all sorts of players who have different levels of experience and skill. I am a good example, I am right in the middle, I am fairly competitive and like to win but I don't play ranked and am not obsessed about being the best. Yeah it's frustrating to be put with noobs who haven't had time to learn the game, but that is true in any game really. If you're going to play random pubs then you need to accept that you're not always going to be put with players who have the same outlook or playstyle as you... and you can either get mad cos people don't know what you know or think what you think, which seems a little irrational, or you can help to teach them the game.
Ranked play exists surely to give players of the same skill level and same goals a chance to play with others like them. In public games you have one of two options, you either group all the good players together or spread them out. If you do the former then you really have to also be able to fill servers with all good or all bad players, which means longer wait times or less populated games. If you group all the good and bad players together in a single game, all you end up with is 2-3 teams who are way stronger than all the others.... which isn't much fun for anyone.

@OhhhBABYOhhh Yeah there is definitely some logic to what you say, as I don't play ranked much I am probably not the best person to offer an opinion. But if you're going to go to the bother of having ranked play it doesn't seem unreasonable to require some kind of minimum standard barrier to entry. Maybe using total kills or total dmg as a measure of skill rather than simple ranking... allowing more skilled players to get there quicker and giving weaker ons a little extra time and training. Either way maybe also would help against cheats using burner accounts (if that is much of a problem in ranked, maybe it isn't)
