Hello
I have been looking around but haven't found any recent post about this. So, i wanted to give my feedback on the ranked series.
Right now as you reach Diamon 3 you enter the master / predator lobby, and with it the queue times increase by a lot aswel as the dificulty. I think Diamond 3 is ok to be paired with predators and masters. What is not ok tho, is that i find myself always in solo Q with another two diamond 3, and in this lobby there are 3 man stacked predator partys.
If we had separated solo Q and teams, then i would get a predator or a master in my party and the teams would be somewhat balanced... yes, the game is meant to be played in teams. Then i would like to suggest to remove solo Q from ranked. Because actually the lack of people in diamon 3+ is caused by the issue i described. 3 randoms diamons 3 can do nothing but get obliterated by a pro team. So people prefer to stay in diamond IV, have faster queue and actual fun at the game. Or just reach diamond IV and move to play unranked.
The ranked system itself is making people not play ranked and causing the long queue. So, from my point of view, teams and solo Q togheter is not there to try and fix the lack of people, is actually creating the problem.
Just my two cents.

Respawns idea of matchmaking is to place you with lower level teamates and places you against players much high than your skill level if you Solo queue.
There is a big revelation on the internet about this issue as someone obtained documentation of EA confirming this because supposedly this deceitful act is meant to cause player retention rates to be higher.

I see.
As i said in the opening post putting D3 and Preds in the same lobby is not bad actually, it allows players to improve but, only if it's solo Q. So teams get mixed and you can actually learn from your teammates. Solo Q and Teams can't work togheter at all. There are probably 0 apex predators playing solo Q.
If this strategy is making the retention rates higher... good for them, but i really think it's hurting the player base.
Thanks for the answer btw, had no idea about this.
