A lot of data connected to cheating is missing.
What's the usual ping of a cheater that has been banned?
We all know that in certain countries Internet cafes are handled well let's say a bit differently.
Am I too hard??

High ping doesn't necessarily mean you're cheating, could just be your area is having a bad day but I get what you're saying.
Setting a limit might help but I think 110 is way too low - I know they are different games but I can reach upwards of 110 on US East servers on Battlefield V when I normally max at 15 on US West, and that's through normal matchmaking; EU can be 150+.
Region blocking would never go over well with the community, no matter how good the intentions but yes, it could be quite effective

@TTZ_Dipsy
It's not the area I actually know where to play 95% cheater free...
But some people have more negative experiences than me
Then people get mad and post here how bad the game is...
giving it bad feedback that I don't think it deserves.
I have a ping of 105 on the east coast of the US playing in Germany
with a 200Mbt/s connection so if you live in the US you should be good.
Or have the worst internet I have ever heard of outside of Africa. lol
A ping limit has to be that low to deny Vpn usage.
It's the easiest way.
It all hangs together...
Make a ping limit and see how it affects the game just 1 month try it.

My best ping on a good day is with St Louis at 105 so yes 110 is way too low.

I would say 140 to 150 ping should be denied access. Because at that ping the game wouldn't fun at all and virtual useless to even try to win a gun fight.

@xcr762
You're exactly right with your statement.
To high ping, games are not very enjoyable I didn't even think about it in that way.
That's exactly why we have to lower the ping to 120-125 at least.
Lag has to always be divided into 2 categories.
First is the connection/lag of your ISP.
Then the Input Lag, that's the hard one to actually make out
it has too many individuals criteria that have to be taken into account.
But even if you have a ping of 125 connection speed there is always
some ms lag added through the input lag.
Connection + Input lag is your real latency.
So even with a ping of 125, you might still feel like playing on 155ping.
It's not so easy...

Some vpn info for you. American server is just over 150, but New Zealand is just under 70. I've tried both and honestly, I don't notice much of a difference at all. Latency issues are much better if I use the vpn on a local server than not. I know..weird right? Capping a ping isn't a good idea imo cause you've got guys up in Canada using the closest server in St. Lois and that's over 100.

Well done youve just banned most australians from their servers in sydney :D

@jumanjaydazed
Well,
I only wanted to try it on US and EU servers.
It's hard to differentiate what more important.
Server stability or accessibility.
In my case, I hate lag/ hit reg issues and if your ping is over 130ms games would not be fun because you have to add the input lag.
then you would be on a delay of 160-170ms.
Also it really bad for people who have a good ping.
I used to play CS and if the server or other players would have
ping over 65 I would just stop playing the game.
People with a high ping destabilize the server and make an overall
unenjoyable gaming experience for the majority of the server population.
The ping will soon stabilize in the US with 4 more Google data centers and as soon as the Ohio data center is functional Canadiens can profit from that too.
(Google will build new data centers in Texas, Ohio, Nevada, and Nebraska)
