I’m officially quitting this game. It has put me in such a bad mood because it consistently pairs me with teammates that are either toxic or don’t know what to do in rank. I play with a pre made squad but I also like to play solo queue sometimes. Solo queueing is the worst thing that ea and respawn has ever created.
1. I come in at a good placement and good kp. The next 20 games I play are games in the negative because I’m being paired with players that are lower level than me and go out on their own to do their own thing.
2. solo queueing does not pair you with players on your caliber at all. Respawn devs programmed this game in order to hold every regular player such as me to a 5% win rate.
3. there are countless times when the server lags and everything turns into slow motion. The servers in apex is horrible.
4. I noticed that every season a legend and weapon becomes meta and is suddenly so much better than all the other legends. Then the next thing you know everyone is using that weapon or legend because of the fact that it’s meta. What if I don’t want to keep using that weapon because I’d like to switch different weapons and legends because the same thing over and over again eventually gets boring? Everyone is now using octane revenant and spitfires. Last season everyone was a horizon main. Season before that gibby was meta. Why can’t they just balance all the characters instead of making 1 or 2 legends and weapons meta and having everyone be forced to use them because everyone else is using that legend?
my overall take on this game is that it is a MUST NOT play. if you’re looking for a cool FPS team based game definitely play something else like warzone. This game just kept getting worse and worse since season 2 and it’s going to continue that way.

@jonlouise96The game not FUN ANYMORE because smurfs, cheaters, console aimbotters, unbalanced match making (i level 100 enemy 500 and 5000+kill) etc etc...

I mean I get teammates that are clueless, toxic, non-cooperative, whatever other term you have described....
I still manage to get points in ranked...
You just have to know where to draw the line between taking care of the team and taking care of you.

Hehe actually, the second point is very contradictory. Because if you hypothetically would be matched with 59 EXACTLY equal players as yourself in all aspects (aim, movement, game sense, competitiveness etc) i.e. what the @jonlouise96 is wishing for, then logically, your win rate would go towards precisely 5% after "many" games. If you dont understand this; you would have 1/20 probability of winning since everyone in the lobby are exactly equally skilled --> 1/20 = 0.05 --> 5%.
This is ofc just a very theoretical scenario but my point is that its fun how so many people think the matchmaking is unfair because they dont win like every five games or so. It is not that hard to understand that in a game of 20 opposing teams, you cant expect to win as many games as in a game of two opposing teams like CS, LoL, Valorant etc.

Hehe my point wasnt to nitpick about exact hypothetical win rate percentages. I just think it was fun when you wrote :
"2. solo queueing does not pair you with players on your caliber at all. Respawn devs programmed this game in order to hold every regular player such as me to a 5% win rate. "
which I interpreted that you first complained that the casual matchmaking didnt use a strict SBMM but instead put players of all skill ranges in the same lobby and in the very next sentence said that this "open" matchmaking held "regular players" at a 5% win rate. I just pointed out that 5% win rate just happen to be the theoretical win rate of "perfectly narrow", i.e "super strict" SBMM. So maybe shouldnt a "regular player" be so disappointed if he has a win rate of approx 5% hrm.
But I guess I agree with you that the solo matchmaking has a tendency to put very well preforming solo players in hotter lobbies the game after a streamroll-game. Dont know if I think this is a bad thing though. I rather have it this way than a strict SBMM also in casual. But thats just my opinion. If I want to tryhard and sweat, then I play ranked.

Apex Legends has a lot of issues that will never see fixing it seems. Apex Legends is far from being bad, but I'm saying that the game is very frustrating to play and almost every match ends with me throwing my hands in the air and scream WTF.
