UPDATE
We've adjusted circle damage in Elite Queue. After letting the original change marinate for a couple days we agree with the feedback that the first circle damage is a bit too aggressive so we've made some adjustments.
Circle damage in Elite Queue is now updated to the following:
First circle now does 7% damage per tick [previously this was 15%].
Second circle does 15% damage per tick
Third circle does 20% damage per tick
Remaining circles do 25% damage per tick.
Final Edit: Thanks to everyone for the feedback, we'll have details on the Season 2 circle properties coming soon!

change back the circle damage in Apex Elite please!!! There is absolutely no way the first circle should do 25%. You can’t have any circle battles anymore, everyone just dies.

whenever i play elite i die fast so i dont care. roast away.

I agree it has been overtuned.
This just promotes edge guarding enemy teams for literally free kills.
First ring already kills you with ease, a large number of people will simply arbitrarily get eliminated this way by dropping on the wrong place of the map, occupied in combat for too long, and then get killed by first ring despite winning from 1 or 2 teams off-spawn.

Yup..it's a gong show. Get a bot, drop, find the next circle, loot then camp the edge for the rest of the match!
Gonna miss them circle battles!

This is what they've said:
"In an attempt to curb behavior of camping outside the circle to wait out the match and get Top 5 in the Apex Elite Queue, we’re trying increasing the damage caused by being outside the circle in the Apex Elite Queue only.
I must admit, I've never seen a player "camp outside the circle". I've seen players loot outside the circle - and I'll often do that myself outside the first circle knowing that I can heal while I do. But looting isn't camping, so I'm not sure what exactly they're talking about. Is it something that occurs on consoles or is it specific to a particular region perhaps? How do you even camp outside the circle? Perhaps "camping" as a term has changed. It used to mean staying in one spot where you can basically farm other players because of the advantage of where you are and the disadvantage of the other players location or situation. Has that been happening? I'm interested, because I haven't seen it myself.
I mean, Apex is harsh on PC. There is an oppressive amount of cheating which barely ever relents. Plus the lemming-like nature of very many players who insist on dying almost as soon as they land. Add to this the new 'corralling' effect where players will simply not survive outside the circle, and players will probably now be aim-botted even more quickly. But who gains? I guess at least all the out-of-circle-campers will be gone! Well, I've never even seen one.
I think Apex is about to become very harsh indeed. When you add ranked on top of all this - ranked is another reason to cheat and to use boosters - what's left for honest players who expect developers to do everything they can to support them and not to strip away the game play they use to avoid being cannon fodder for cheats etc.

i wonder how ranks will let people die fast then go into a new game when ranks decimate the player base numbers and dying means you have to wait 20 minutes?
have one rank and below that is everyone else?

It really took me by surprise. A couple randoms and I died to it twice in a row. The first time I thought I was just low on life and not paying attention because we just finished a fight when it came. The second time we all realized how big the life chunks were dropping. Hot damn its the first circle. Let us gear up at least

Seriously, getting a top 5 placement in the regular queue is so easy it's a joke. The first ring in the "elite" queue should not be taking off 25% HP each tick. 10% is more than enough.
