When I'm in a fight or about to be in one... I don't need some random character announcing something useless.. Such as "hey let's go check out that care package" I don't need to hear to it. I don't wan tot hear it. What I do want is silence so I can hear foot steps and doors opening. I don't need to hear anything else, I don't want to hear anything else.. So let me silence all the announcements?!
From there, it's insanely stupid that the storm moves as fast as the player. I get that there were problems with people camping in the storm. But it does not need to move faster then our ability to run. We should be slightly faster then it and have the ability to out run it. It's insanely annoying to get killed by the storm while you're trying to run out of it. The idea behind the storm is to motivate people to move into the ring. So what's wrong with having the ability to put distance between us and the storm?! it's far to easy to lose ground it, some bad map terrain and you're dead.

Do you not see a timer on the screen? This will be on the left side of the screen by default. Not sure if they give you an option to configure the UI differently. Like the other mentioned you can use slides and jumps to get some speed. Make sure you holster your weapon too as this creates drag on the body. Might want to spend less time on the loot aspect and get to the shoot part.

I understand what you’re saying and yes I see the timer. But sometimes map terrain slows you down. Once you’re in it, it’s next to impossible to get out of unless you can hit a jump tower, have a path finder or wraith.
Then there is the getting into a battle.. and get stuck in it. It’s stupid that you can’t out run it or gain ground on it.
Large areas of the map go unlooted because of how fast the map closes.

The key is to not be in the storm when the ring is closing. The game gives you fair warning and time to move. Spend less time looting and more time engaging others. Did you know most of the time the enemy will have similar gear that is at the unlooted locations?

a battle royale has like 3 objectives... looting, fighting and not to stay outside the ring. thats how battle royale works. you cant just make one easier just because its sometimes a challange when you take the risk to stay outside longer.

I agree that getting out of the storm can be quite annoying, such as when you land on one corner of the map, the circle closes on the other corner of the map, and you get caught up in a battle which doesn't allow you to get a headstart on the storm.
One change to the storm that could be worth considering is having the storm start to close sooner, but close at a slower rate so that every character would have the ability to outrun the storm no matter how far away from the next storm you are. Where you decide to land should not be a death sentence because of the RNG of where the circle decides to move.

I'm okay with the ring being faster than we can run - unless we are jump-sliding and grappling and void running, etc., - but I wish the damage remained constant in all phases of the ring because I enjoyed the aspect of stocking up on med kits and running through the storm to another area and approaching from an angle that teams probably thought was safe. I die a lot in the ring but I like that kind of tactic.

I've turned them all the way down in settings and they're still just as loud.
