So we dropped in Treatment with two other teams. I literally grabbed the first gun and started to fight. My two teammates died without doing 100 dmg (ofc) but I managed to kill 4 of the 6 enemies present and went back to grab their banners and then ran to the Respawn beacon.. And exactly when the drop ship arrived, the circle started to move! I mean what the? And let me remind you that I spent that entire time to fight so I had only about 40% health with NO heals left.
So sure; Respawn could defend this change that I should have started to run as soon as I respawned or even not respawn them there. Just pick up the banners and run. But how stupid and unrewarding is it to win an entire area and not even have time to heal up, let alone find some decent loot after a hard-won battle? Even if I had started to run right after I killed the last enemy, i.e not even go for my teammates banners, I would have ended up in the new circle with 40 hp, no heals and barely no ammo...... ANd yes, I know that the first circle was very unlucky but still. Is this some kind of hidden buff to Valkyre that makes her even more important than before even after the nerf???
To summarize. At least give us time to fight, win and loot up the area we just won. The new round timer is stupid..

not the circle was unlucky, your drop was unlucky.
question is : why do you drop with 2 mates that cannot stand a fight with 2 enemy teams at a POI which is also pretty far away from the ring ?
sound not like a very wise tactical decision to me, one might do that with a 3Stack but with randos ?
You pretty much gamble and bet on your own strength to pull a "John Rambo" and if you fail the ring timer is responsible ?
Btw the timer is visible at all time ... why didnt you run as you grabbed the banners and rezz the mates somewhere inside the new ring ?
You wasted vital time by bringing them back at that position, clearly knowing the way is far and not much health to work with.
Sorry , but dying to the ring is either not paying attention to the timer and/or bad positioning.
Edit : As i took a deeper look on your screenshot it gets even more funny:
Why have your mates (the ones you brought back) managed to get into the Ring and have full health and you didnt ?
When you bring them back you have 4 small medkits, if you dont ask them to drop smth for you its also your fault ...
It also looks like they had enought time to loot, judging by the shields.

First of all; you cant plan your drop location based on the ring. Since you apparently dont know; the first ring is not revealed at the start of the match. The only way you can see the first ring during your drop is if you wait until the drop ship reaches the end of the line and then hover for a good 10 second or something. But then you are as likely to be on the other side of the map of the ring anyways.
Secondly: I wasnt jump master, it was the premade duo who chose that location. Also, I cant know how bad they are at fighting. Based on your logic, solo players should never jump with teammates if they go to a place with other enemies... That is exactly what you suggesting. But sure, if my main goal was to gain RPs then this is probably the correct strategy. Ratting solo to gain RPs is easy on Kings canyon, especially in silver/gold lobbies like this.

You TOTALLY miss my point with this post. This has NOTHING to do with the fact that I died. I dont blame my death on the ring. In fact, the reason why I died was because I just skimmed the patch notes and realized that they increased the ring damage. Before the patch, I knew exactly how much health you need to pop a syringe or a med kit during the first ring and I simply started 0.5 second to late to use the only heal (a medkit) I had. I would have made exactly the same argument in this post even if I managed to use that medkit and survived the zone.
The point with this post is that there should be enough time to finish a fight, reap the rewards of that fight and still reach the ring, without a Valk in the team. Did I mention anything about me dying in my original post? NO. That was not the complaint. My complaint is basically that I think that the first ring start to move too early to a way too small new circle. One of these things must be changed. If they want a quick first ring, then the first circle must be larger and not literally 30% of the original play area. If they want a small first circle, they need to increase the timer before the ring start to move etc.

They finally killed ranked with this....
I mean what was in their heads to do that, im so p....

Agreed. This post was ofc not just based on one incident. I also have this generell feeling after about 20 ranked matches. The first ring moves too soon and if you by random chance happened to land far away from a non-centered first ring, then you must pretty much start running right away if you dont have a Valk in the team. Valk had like 98% pickrate in ALGS; this new patch made her even more crucial for a team comp.

yes they reduced the timer for the first round way too much.

I think it is intended to get people fighting sooner. We'll see if that's true. Increasing the strength initially is intended to avoid people hanging outside the ring for extended periods of time.
If you happen to drop far away from the first ring, you are gonna feel like you have no time to loot before you've gotta move.

@NerfMyAimPlzYeah, and Respawn was like: "Look, we nerfed Valk!" No you didn't. 😂

The game is just not fun with these changes. It's ring gatekeeprs heaven especially on a map like KC. I play this game near religiously and I dont know ANYONE who wanted/asked for/complained about the ring timer. It reminds of the braindead TTK changes a few years ago that got reverted back quickly. Im not sure what they were hopnig to counter with these changes but kings canyon is boarderline unplayable. Maybe they just want their game to turn into rooftop camping garbage like Warzone was last time I played it. Whatever these changes were supposed to fix, rather they did or not apex has went from beng my favorite game to flat out not fun in it's current state. Do they even playtest this with average players before deciding this stuff? Respawn nseeds to stop relying on pro level players/popular streamers for feedback. That's got to be the .0001% of players.
