I am always playing apex with friends through xbox and we always have the funnest times and then my friend recently got a really nice PC and expected to play with us but Apex Legends hasn’t came out with cross platform so if y’all could please come out with cross platform that would be AMAZING. So all of my friends that have a pc could join my xbox lobby’s and we could all play!

Really hope that if they do xplay they only do it between PS4/Xbox. Don't want to play against hackers.

@FlyLSUTiger3
Why would that be a feature to be added and not one to be released along with the game?
I believe that if their plans were to have cross platform they would have implemented it from the get-go.

I play Apex PC with a controller.(8000 plus kills, 500+ wins, 2900 highest damage). I have no issues while playing PC Apex, i do just fine. I would please ask you stop spreading the false tales of keyboard & mouse vs controllers.
I'm not sure who started it, but i've been playing vs PC gamers for years with a controller. There could be some issues with PC Apex connected to consoles, but control devices would be my last worry. They could be playing on a TV, or 5400 RPM HDD, No headset, many issues come to mind. Plus most time times they can't change their graphical settings.
I wonder if Respawn thought of adding crossplay to combat some of the cheaters. At first you would think no to, but on second thought wouldn't it help deal with the cheaters? If they added crossplay, millions of console gamers could become the new source of helping report all the cheaters.
I vote for adding millions of gamers to the PC Apex community, would be fun to shoot at them, plus they would report cheaters (could be a huge rise in false reports though). If anything they could just allow console gamers to join a PC friends lobby, so no cheater could get mixed into the console community.

No i don't think it is. If there was some mass disadvantage you would hear about it from all the people who play Fortnite on consoles vs PC players.Plus with Xbox and PS4 already having support for keyboard and mouse it just doesn't matter.
Giving a player a keyboard & mouse and than asking them to kill everyone using a controller would be a nightmare. The controller users would be running around like little aim bots (aim assist). I don't want to go that far off topic, but most PC players are not that good with keyboard and mouse, why would a new keyboard & mouse user be any better?
Let the consoles have fun with each other and have crossplay, who are you to tell them they can't enjoy a game together? If Apex wants to grow it will need to add crossplay, no way around it really.
I bet once more is done with cheaters, crossplay will be talked about more.

Very true, Xbox One / PS4 don't have cheats like PC and that is a good thing. Also though, Xbox One and PS4 already have access to Fortnite that allows direct crossplay with PC and that does have cheaters. Linking the Apex PC communiy to Xbox One and PS4 won't do anything Fortnite hasn't already done. It might make a small copycat group to try and cheat from consoles, but it should be very small %.
Crossplay has positives and negatives.
Negatives
It would add cheaters to the console community.
Most PC players use or have access to better hardware like monitors, High FPS, SSds, Faster CPUs etc.
Small amount of false cheating reports. (Some console players will report cheating just because they died. People get mad, they vent).
Bunch of open mic players (A press to talk would fix that for console gamers playing on PC servers).
Bunch of Aim Assist controllers (I don't know the level of Respawns aim assist, but i notice it on PC through smoke sometimes. It's not Battlefield crazy high, but it's there).
(Small temp fix - Allow console community to pick if they want to play vs PC players)
Positives
Gaining more players on PC to report cheaters (let's face it, the more players reporting is good, but also makes false reports as well. I've seen many PC players that don't report at all, even thought they know someone is cheating, i see it all the time).
Playing with friends on different systems
Millions of new players.
Shorter matchmaing time. (!One issue i don't know about is the loading. Consoles are mostly old 5400 RPM HDDs. I'm not sure if this would cause an issue with loading on PC, i just don't know).
LINK
The above link is about how Respawn is working on crossplay, but with limited team working on Apex currently and more so on Star Wars, expect crossplay after the release of that title.
Like i said at the top, there is some disadvantages / advantages with crossplay, but i wouldn't ever create a design idea around restricting the whole community, when some foul players ruin the experience of others. No design decision should come because of cheaters, don't let the cheaters win.
With the new jobs open on Respawn for just that (Cheaters), i'm sure they will fix it at some point.
