There was feedback from the community how the Season 1 Battle Pass felt "grindy" so the team added daily and weekly challenges to help level up your Battle Pass even faster. Here's the full details, but yes, if you do the daily and weekly challenges it will dramatically help level up your Battle Pass. Good news is that the weekly challenges don't expire if you plan to take a break for a week or so. That way you're not forced to play every week or else you'll miss out on maxing out the Battle Pass by the time the Season ends.
More than half of your Weekly Challenges will grant an entire Battle Pass level as a reward. The remaining Daily & Weekly Challenges grant STARS which, combined with match XP, contribute to a repeatable Weekly Challenge that grants a full Battle Pass level with each completion. STARS are XP specific to Battle Pass, meaning STARS do not impact Account Level progression.
Daily Challenges
Each day, you will receive three new Daily Challenges chosen randomly from a pool of over two hundred. These challenges range from “Deal 200 Damage in Bunker” to “Play 1 game as Lifeline” and are intended to be achievable in a short play session. Complete your daily challenge and earn 3,000 STARS each.
Your challenge pool will reset every day, so be sure to check back regularly to maximize Battle Pass progress.
Weekly Challenges
Each week, you will receive a set of seven new Weekly Challenges. These challenges are intended to take several play sessions to complete and range from "Get 20 Kills as Gibraltar, Bangalore, or Mirage” to “Loot 100 Epic items.” Four of the Weekly Challenges are worth 6,000 STARS each (24,000 STARS total) and three of the Weekly Challenges grant an entire Battle Pass level each upon completion.
Starting the season late? No problem – you’ll get access to all previous Weekly Challenges at one. So, if you start in Week 3, you’ll get access to Week 1, 2, and 3 challenges immediately (21 in total).
Weekly Resetting Challenges
Each week, you’ll have an additional set of three special resetting Weekly Challenges. These are the same every week and refresh even if you haven’t completed them. Keep a careful eye on these to make maximum Battle Pass progress.

I dont want to have to do any challenges for BP lvl. In fact it's more grinding and forcing players to change thier play style by having to do the challanges in order to receive BP lvls instead of like season one where you earned a lvl with XP in match...i have yet to rrcieve a BP lvl for just playing and earning XP that way

This can’t be true. You only need 9000 survival xp to gain your first level, and that’s without completing a single challenge. It breaks down like this.
9000 xp 1st level
18000. 2nd
24000. 3rd
36k. 4th
45k. 5th
54k. 6th
This is per week, which resets every Tuesday morning. Once you get to the 54k xp level, you’ll have to get 54k to make each new level, until the next Tuesday. When it all resets.
This is the model for xp advancement without any challenges. You also get bonus xp for placing in the top 5. There are huge bonuses to this top 5 bonus as you progress in the BP. They can get up to, and are capped off at, a 300% xp bonus while playing in a premade squad. This is similar to season 1. The bonuses are way higher now, but you have to place in the top 5.
Here’s what else will happen. You’ll be completing some of the weeklies without even trying. Just standard gameplay and you’ll be getting some free levels. Check them out. Some are as easy as play a single match with a certain legend and you get a level. Some are as easy as open a certain number of supply crates.
The new new challenge system is superior overall. It encourages players to step out of their comfort zone, and rewards them for doing so. If any player doesn’t want to expand their game competence, and remain playing a singular way, they will still be able do so. This will be more of a grind however, which was the fault in season 1’s design.
The daily challenges are just for 24 hours, but the weeklies, despite being called a Weekly Challenge, never go away, and your going to find your self completing more and more of them with your standard play style preference, as time goes by, anyway.
Hope this helps.
Step out of the box. Even if it’s just one toe at a time.

True but unlike season one where you only needed 29500 (if i remeber correctly) gor each BP lvl you now have to get hndreds of thousands in a week to earn less BP lvls. I mean 54000 for a BP lvl come on thats ridiculous ...they didnt decrease the grind they INCREASED it dramaticly!

@theforgotin1But you get a full level for playing a game as caustic... That means you've got a full level for potentially as little as a few hundred XP, for dropping in and getting knocked without ever getting anywhere. Do you not see the mitigating factor that brings to the 54k xp thing? Also - in order to have to do 54k xp to get a level : you've earned multiple levels up to that point that week for SIGNIFICANTLY LESS than 29500...

Actually Darth Vaapar broke it down exactly how it works for just gaining xp. And you do in fact gain BP levels just from xp, it’s just slower. If you want it to go faster you do the challenges. So you do, after all, level up from xp.
