More of a suggestion than general feedback I guess but I got to thinking today just how versatile the gameplay of Apex can be. What they did is pretty simple in all honesty. Added very tight squad gameplay to the BR setting and did it flawlessly but looking at how everything works there is so much potential to expanded on it far beyond just new maps, Duos, solo and loot etc.. but new gameplay styles.
It's the carepackages that got me thinking on how you could have objective based gameplay due to how tight the squad format is.
Here's an example;
With each level you have carepackages as you normally would but instead of just running up and opening them, they take time to unlock. A ring forms around them and you and your team have to stay in that ring in order for the carepackage to unlock (Think how a capture point would work in standard multiplayer shooters) If another team is in the ring too it's contested and one team has to take out the other in order to unlock it.
For incentive, these carepackages will ALWAYS contain high tier weapons and armour that you WILL NOT otherwise find on the map and on top of that it'll give you something like +200 post game EXP per carepackage claimed. They won't stay on the field forever though so if you ignore them while other teams claim them you'll find yourself at a severe disadvantage. Right now the standard care packages are an objective but a lot of the time they carry garbage. These careppackages would be different, a "true" objective to fight over strategically.
Another example;
Would be a sort of "Capture the Flag" type deal. Each squad has one member that has a flag attached to them, when that squad member is killed you can loot said flag. You can collect these flags off of multiple enemies and since they are looted, if you get killed all previously collected flags can be looted off of you. EXP and minor "Buffs" would be the incentive here and by buffs I don't mean things such as increased damage but things such as decresed damage taken from the ring depending on how many flags you currently hold, increased sprint speed while OUTSIDE of the ring as it closes depending on how many flags are held by the squad and so on on top of +50 post game exp per flag.
My point being, there's a lot of potential to mess with the standard formula here.
