January 2020
I've been posting about this from the start, now I think much of the playerbase might agree with me.
To summarize the changes that ought to be reverted ( if you want to appeal to competitive gamers ):
-Wingman nerfs
-Zone / Ring damage, Zone / Ring closing speed, Zone/ Ring closing interval ( overall length of matches )
-Map size, map color, map in general
-Double tap hopup for G7 scout is basically useless due to recoil
-Hip fire accuracy in general ( did this just get ninja nerfed or something, I feel like every time I go back hip-fire accuracy gets worse )
Some changes you should add:
-Support for up to 100 players per match to spice things up ( instead of the current 60 players spread out on a giant map with a zone that smashes everyone together in the last 5 minutes which results in tons of 3rd parties and half the time just dying to the zone )
-More new weapons
Do you guys have any idea how boring the current map is? If you land in a zone that even slightly remote you basically spend all game looting and trying to run into the zone, or you can land in a populated zone and probably die right away.
You should revert the Wingman back to it's original statistics -- 6 bullets in the starting chamber and excellent hip fire accuracy. I posted in the forums before they nerfed the Wingman hoping Apex might listen and avoid nerfing their guns to hell, but like other games *cough Destiny* they have made an excellent FPS game boring by nerfing the 'best' guns ( AKA the guns players complain are 'too strong' ).
Everybody I know who complained about the Wingman stopped playing the game shortly after those changes, even though they were supposedly happy to see the changes, it didn't seem to keep them playing around any longer.
I hate it when games change their core gun mechanics just to satisfy complaints from people who talk the loudest. When will the industry learn that a buff to other things is 1000% better than nerfing something good and making the whole game a bore. It took Destiny two games to realize this and it just hasn't been the same and I won't ever feel like going back.
At this point Apex Legends has stopped trying to appeal to it's target demographic ( your audience isn't the kids playing Fortnite, it's experienced gamers, and most of us aren't about Fortnite just fyi ).
