Time Limit on Spore Adventures?

I wanted to make a defend your position segment for my adventure. However, I want it to be where you must defend the point for 1 minute. I know you can add a timer to make it so if it runs out, the adventure would fail, but that's not what I want. What I want is to be able to make it so that the "Act" completes when the time runs out. How do I do this, if I can at all?

once the timer runs out, the adventure should advance to the next act if the only thing to do in the previous act is defending the point, or if you have two other goals in said act and they have been completed.
