I played few games where they have placement matches before it gives you your rank....

Why does apex arenas have placement matches when it places you in Bronze 4 anyway?

You can be placed up to at least Plat 2, which is the highest I've seen myself.

Top of Bronze I now but stopped as I was only doing it for the LTM.  Hate Arenas otherwise as the match making is so broken.

OK, so maybe I have a good information for you. 

In Ranked Arena, There is NO loss forgiveness between each Rank.

So you might be dropped from Gold to Silver. (This is just in my case. :P )

...To be honest, it seems this ranked arena mode is only for some gaming groups who can grind enough.

Not for the random single player like you and me...

Well it's funny enough that some of my placement matches were literal stomps with me getting triple kills all by myself, yet I couldn't even get Bronze 3...

@damsonwhufndthis I did mine with the first week or two of ranked Arena, so I can't remember specifically, but I feel like mine were about half and half. I had a few good matches with 5+ kills and good damage, but had a few with only a couple kills and minimal damage. My memory sucks, so it was too far back to remember specifics. I'm still in Gold IV, as I've only played maybe 3-5 matches of ranked since then. I was mostly just curious as to where I would place, and wasn't really interested in grinding ranked lol

@dSKyNafinchinwell I played solo so at least half those games I got completely stomped cause U can't do * without team, maybe get a knockdown before dying?

@damsonwhufndthis That is quite possible. Also, since I did mine pretty early on, I suppose it's also possible that the player pool is simply much larger now, so there are more players to place ahead of, in order to get placed higher. I would imagine quite a lot of people have completed their placement matches after the first few days, when I did mine.
