Hey @stephfourie when the new EA Desktop launcher launches there will be no cost involved in using it.

The EA Desktop beta is free yes. You will need to sign up to the beta here: https://www.ea.com/ea-desktop-beta

Just remember that it is not guaranteed that you will get an invite to the beta.
