Only LMG's can aim down sights; Pluk is right - you'll need to go prone or lean against an object like a crate or railing in order to use an MMG effectively

MMG's in BFV can zoom only when you got it deployed with bipod.. It can be OP to zoom with MG42 while standing with it.

BFV need some balance so MMG's can zoom only with deployed bipod.
