everytime my sims 4 installs completely it pauses download and won’t let me play

i went to play the sims and it popped up with some text saying i needed to download legacy, and i thought if i uninstalled it and reinstalled it it would work fine, well as soon as it completes it goes to “paused installation” and everytime i click resume it goes for about three seconds then pauses again. i’ve deleted all custom content and i’m just very confused. i looked up the sims 4 legacy in the store and nothing popped up, so i’d assumed i’d already had it.

Hey @y0sh1sm0k1ngw33d, can you ensure that you are running Origin as administrator and that your firewall and anti-virus are not blocking Origin and that you also have the ports for Origin open.

The ports to open are:

• TCP: 80; 443; 9960-9969; 1024-1124; 3216; 18000; 18120; 18060; 27900; 28910; 29900
• UDP: 1024-1124; 18000; 29900

You can also try turning off the routers firewall to see if it helps.
