hi i have two pc's in my home , i would like to play battlefield V with my son, do i need to buy a second copy of the game

Yes if you want to play together you need to have 2 origin account with one copy of the game on each account.

If you want play together with your son, you need to get new Battlefield V game, it can be digital or disc version..
