Not specifically no. It just leaves a trail. If you follow the trail you know which direction they went.

If you mean if the way you're going towards or came from is where they went, that's displayed by the fading of the redness. The 'redder' the icon, the fresher the track. You can also use your tactical to get a more pronounced sense of how they moved
