apex is stuck on download complete

 So I was installing an update in ea play for Apex and the game is now stuck in download completed for a few hours. It wont let me pause or cancel the download and it wont install. I have tried restarting my computer a few times, I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. It is just stuck and I am locked out of apex.

Not that I know of, I went back to origin and that works.

@xthexundyingx Is there no way of repairing it through steam like you can on origin?

I had this problem a while back. I am not sure what causes it to happen.

In order to fix it here is how I did it step by step:

1. Uninstall Apex.

2. Reinstall Apex using the origin app, when you login to the origin app just click on "My games library" and click on Apex.

Edit: It should start the download for you and when finished it should work like normal.

This wasn't an issue with steam it was with the EA Play app.
