I really love this game. It brings me a lot of joy.
I wanted to share something I made with all of you.
Recently I had a scare with my daughter. We received information from her friends that she was seriously contemplating suicide. Her facebook account was deleted and messages from her to us were manually deleted on her end.
We thought she was in great danger. We contacted police and started networking with anyone who knew her. After some searching with the tips we got, we found her. She's okay. We spent the night in the hospital and she spent the next day home with us. Everything feels okay.
I too suffer from depression and anxiety and I know how hard a mental illness can beat you down, quickly at that. I felt inspired to do something. Then I saw pipeline (a streamer company that helps streamers build their career) added a mental health channel in their discord and it was active with many people just looking to talk to someone. I felt even more compelled to do something.
I use video games as a coping mechanism to help manage depression. Right now Apex Legends brings me a lot of joy so I wanted to not only spread a positive message through the video game platform but also show the game I love so much, a bit of love.
