@UP_Hawxxeye I don't think we'll need to worry about that. From what I've gathered there will be a lot of customization available to each specialist so you shouldn't see many look alikes, if any, even on a map of 128 players. I'm sure team differentiation might be of concern but some of the EA Game Changers say that the different factions have unique color grading.

Looks like Battlefield to me.

Too many noobs who jumped into the franchise in V who think everyone wasn't running engineer in the older titles.

Not to mention you don't even know the vehicles defensive systems, how much damage each rocket does etc.

I wouldn't care about the size of the squad (4 or 5) if it's possible that all my friends could choose to be on the same team, my biggest problem is when game balance shifts my friends to another team.

Now that "specialists are classes" was confirmed in today's interview, my main concern lies with was they bring to the table with their uniques.  Right now we have at least two (Sundance and Wesley..Weston...Grapple dude) who have a unique gadget that does nothing for team dynamic.  Really the grappling hook should be a generic slot gadget not a unique and give Westy something team oriented, could even be a zip line that replaces the grapple as a unique and can be used by the team once deployed.  Sundance with the Wing suit again another one that could be generic and replaced with something that would benefit a squad.  Heck let sundance drop a bag (like Rook's armor bag in siege) that allows the squad to pick up wing suits.  There are 5 more for release hopefully all will be more team oriented uniques.

Could not have said it better myself. Class based combat has always been the foundation of combat in the BF Series. Reducing Class differences down to 1 singular gadget opens the door for large scale abuse of busted weapons and takes what used to be more meaningful Class/Loadout choices, and reduces them to shallow COD Warzone level "what's the most Meta setup" decisions.

I can already imagine 2 weeks into the game where 112/128 players are running around as Recon Drone guy with a the best AR and Rocket Launcher+C4 gadgets, so that they can be an Intel/Anti-Infantry/Anti-Vehicle one man army. I simply can't believe that this was the result of actual internal/external player input, and not just lazy, shallow, "catering to the lowest common denominator" level game design to appeal to the most 14 year old COD players possible.

@Natetendo83 that may be the case for RPG but C5(modern C4) was in the throwable slot.
All good for the anti-grenade crowd now they have a even more powerful gear but grenades also had visible icons unlike TNT or C4.

exactly right, only certain times does that happen, like operation lockers in BF4, pretty much 90% of the sever is rockets or air bursts
