@HappyHourSumwurFor all we know, the unannounced "loveletter" mode could be a titan mode

There was already an experimental Titan in a late BF4 map

Which to that point (which pc gamer makes the same point)  the recent attempts at reviving the mode were like dipping a toe in the water.  They need to realistically implement it again somehow in full.  Without movable flying ships not sure how you would do that though.  Also would require commander to be in 2042 also as they controlled the titan.

@UP_Hawxxeye If they do it right, I'm all for it. It was a lot of fun. Maybe they'll add it in a later season as part of the larger narrative as a way to connect the BF 2042 setting to the BF 2142 world. Who knows, right?

@HappyHourSumwur I'm doing the same. I'll be primarily focused on seeing how the gadget balance plays out.

@Natetendo83 I don't mind it. BUT what if the engineer class had more rockets and the others were limited to just 1-2 rockets that'd be okay. Then again, you're right. Battlefield still won't feel like Battlefield without classes. But I want to try out what DICE is trying to do. Can't judge before playing bro.

@PaperAssassin-PC Yea I'm waiting to play the beta first. I just find it to be an odd decision.

preference. although you mention the titan mode as being "the greatest battlefield experience" it still comes down to preference and 2142 was/is part of the series that I had no problem passing on back then. I did play the demo and never got a good feel for it and remained a bf2 junkie until bad company 2. was heavy in to 3, had nothing to do with 4 or 1. I invested some time in 5 and curious how long support will last after releasing 6 or 2042?

out of 15 battlefield games, 2142 ranked 11th.

Every Battlefield game, including Battlefield 5, ranked from worst to best

@272725106127272711th, according to Mr. Alex Avard, a singular GamesRadar journalist. BFBC2 being number one is heavily debatable and having 1943, a console-only title, over 2142 and Hardline would also be contentious.

Regardless, everyone has their favorites and the "best" Battlefield games can be argued about indefinitely, however it cannot be denied or argued that BF2042 is clearly seeking to bridge the gap between "present-day" and "over the horizon". I applaud this decision because it gives them some creative freedom to develop and introduce new content that is at least plausible and interesting.

I am also reserving judgement on the specialists... hopefully it will all be fine come July 22nd.

@carsono311 BFBC2 is my personal favorite. I was number one with the M1 for a bit, played close to 3500 hours, never had a bad time. Look at the old guy, waxing nostalgic about a ten year old video game...
There's still the 4 classes, but do the specialist work mix with the class? Recon medic, engineer recon, support sentry gun, etc?
I'm going to run whatever class (probably recon) that has a spawn beacon because I love playing actual forward recon, so my squad can pressure the objective closest to the enemy.
So, recon, grapple, C5, respawn beacon running a burst fire carbine will more than likely be right in my comfort zone.
But again, I know so little at the moment, I can't even make an informed speculation. Either way, I feel better about 2042 than I did 1 or V at the same state of development and leaked information.
