Why is playing with friends so hard?!

Ok, so last night I tried something new, I had my friend who I was playing with before and having terrible games invite me to a game instead of me inviting him. He is close to the server (about 10ms ping, mine is 58) and I have no idea why this would make a difference but it obviously does, I had a 5 kill game, a win and 4-5 other multi-kill games.... weird. 

Could be a coincidence but you gave to admit, it is strange.
