Why is NBA live mobile making legacy lineups

I've spent a lot of time and money into making my lineups and now I hear that we are going to have to start over is baffling. I was ok with legacy lineups in madden mobile but now in NBA live? It makes me think what's the point in making a good lineup if you're just gonna have to restart after every season
