Games removed from library for "unlisted reason"?

★★★★★ Novice

Hey!

So I logged into the EA app today and it says a bunch of my games have been removed from my library for "unlisted reason"? I hope this is just a bug because it would be pretty messed up to just lose games you bought like this.

This is garbage. Opened a ticket, chatted, was told they would escalate it. Got a message today asking if they had resolved the issue and they'd autoclose it if I didn't update it. Can't update it without chatting again. Chat won't work. EA, how about not deleting games out of accounts so that miserably failing at having a system to get them back isn't an issue?

Error trying to install Battlefield V after Deluxe Edition content was missing

★ Guide

Hi,

This is a bit longer story, unfortunately.

The other day I received a notification about the updated subscription prices, which I disregarded (since I'm using PC Game Pass).

After that I noticed a message telling me that content in my library got removed:

EA App _Removed games_

I double checked, and my Battlefield V indeed no longer listed the Deluxe Edition/Enlister Offer.

I contacted support through chat and got these readded within five minutes.

Unfortunately, before doing so, I didn't test whether I'm able to launch Battlefield V; because after that change, when trying to verify everything is still there, I only experienced an infinite black loading screen.

When I tried repairing the installation, I only got a generic error message:

After uninstalling the game, I noticed I can't even reinstall the game and receive the very same error.

I contacted support again and went through all the possible troubleshooting steps (including installing the client on a completely separated laptop) to no avail: Still the same error message.

Installing any other game on my account works just fine, so I was instructed to post here about it and wait (which is kind of annoying, I'm basically locked out from the game I purchased years ago).

However, there's also something interesting and I think this might be part of the issue (but the last CSR couldn't confirm this and still sent me here):

I originally pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game, yet the EA App lists me as owning the "Pro Edition". Unfortunately I didn't check before to see which edition of the game is listed there.

Note I do not own EA Play Pro (only EA Play through PC Game Pass). Can anyone confirm or deny that this is the correct version for someone owning a regular Origin store copy of the Deluxe Edition?

Error Report ID:

Support cases:

175065267 (CSR restored the content/DLC)

175079628 (Follow-up diagnosing/troubleshooting with no solution)

Re: Error trying to install Battlefield V after Deluxe Edition content was *

★ Guide

Forgot to mention, but can't seem to properly edit the original post:

I'm able to install or repair other games on my account in the very same location (verified with Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 2042).

The log files for the EA App talk about "Offer is not owned" when the installation fails, which is why I suspect some confusion on which version of the game I should "own".

Re: Purchased content had been removed

★★★ Newbie

I am having the same problem with Get to Work. When opening the EA launcher on my PC, it says that the content has been removed for an unknown reason and no longer shows in my DLS'c. I got the pack for free, and it now wants me to purchase it when I try to play on saves where I used the pack. How do I get my pack back without having to drop 30+ dollars on it?

Just a quick note for anyone else here wondering about the dates in those "X has been removed". At least in my case these dates specifically refer to the time/year content has been released (in my case BFV).

Games and Items Removed From Origin App.

[ Edited ]
★★★★ Novice

I've had games and items from games removed from the app (and my account) without warning nor giving reason, however nothing has brought them back, including installing the origin app on a brand-new PC.

The emails from EA Help, a misnomer if ever there was one these days, blame me, the app, the store I bought the games from (huh?) and everything under the sun but themselves.

Two dozen emails later, and I am told to go to the forums. I can only shake my head in wonder.

Anyone else with similar experiences and did EA actually Help?

Re: Games and Items Removed From Origin App.

★ Guide

Just checked the EA App again and my Battlefield V is once again back at "Deluxe Edition owned" and I can install it again. So hope fully any remaining issues are fixed on their own.
