Why does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"? [ Edited ]

Hey everyone,

Thank you all for expressing your concerns about the "Games have been removed from your library" notification in the EA app (see below).

We want to assure you that this feature is often* functioning as intended. Its recent implementation aims to reduce the number of inquiries about missing games or DLCs and provide clarity on why such items have been removed from your library. By clicking on the "VIEW DETAILS" button on the right side of the message, you can see a list of all the games that have been removed and the respective reasons for their removal.

*It's important to understand that this scenario can also be triggered by a valid, temporary issue. When or if this happens, we will confirm this in the thread. Please see the 'Resolved TEMPORARY Outages Resulting in the Same Error' section below for further details.

These reasons may include, but are not limited to:

• Expiration of an EA Play membership,
• Sunset of games due to discontinued online services,
• Removal of games due to fraudulent activities,
• And more.

Often, the message providing the reason for removal includes a link to an EA Help article explaining the rationale behind it.

If you encounter the message "Unlisted reason" when viewing the details, it could be due to various factors, such as:

• The game no longer being available in EA Play,
• Sunset of the game,
• Payment issues,
• Problems with your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (XGPU) x EA Play connection (if you use this),
• Voluntary removal by the account holder or parent,
• Billing issues,
• Or self-removal of the game from the account when it was previously claimed via EA Play (a feature previously available in Origin for PC but not in the EA app).

Hi all,

We are seeing RECOVERY of the temporary problem which started on May 22nd at 8 am UTC, which was unintentionally impacting some users, causing them to see the message *"Games have been removed from your library" or *"You don't have access" error on the EA app more frequently than expected.

One of my Games has been Removed from my list, the App says my EA play membership has Ended. 
i never had EA play and the game was Bought and Gifted to me, How do I Fix this Problem?

So, I fired up my EA App this afternoon, and was greeted with this message at the top of my library.

Which for obvious reasons, concerns me.

I did a browse of my library, and I can't find any title that is missing, and all my DLCs seem to be in place as well. And when I click on "View Details" about the removed game, it comes up empty. This a bug in the app or something?

This is ridiculous. Every app start I got these messages and missing games at the library, so now we have to clean this up every time?
Even funnier the removed game list contains games I never had.

@MidnightL0st Check the box again, I had the exact same issue and the details were blank yesterday. Today for some reason it's been fixed. Turns out it was my Battlefield 2042 copy from Steam that I refunded.

Hey @LoptsEldr,

It looks like this has happened about seven years ago. Have you tried starting up Spore and seeing if the parts are still there? I vaguely remember something about this parts pack needing to be replaced with a new copy of itself on some accounts, so you might still actually have it.

Yeah, after clearing my cache it appeared again, and turns out it was the soundtrack DLC for Crysis 3. I assume EA lost the music license for it or something.
