Why do we get disconnected for inactivity while in the lobby?

I would definitely understand while in a match. I can try to sympathize whit being disconnected for inactivity while in the firing range.

But why when I'm in the lobby do i get disconnected for inactivity if I just go and take a bite of something?

Just curious, not complaining.

@HopesKunai It helps the servers. AFKers take player slots , have bandwidth reserved and need their connections actively maintained. It's better to shake them off, especially during peak times.

@HopesKunai It does pad stats. As being in the lobby counts as hours played. Possibly also like mention cleaning out lobbies of inactive players.

So would it be better to just quit the game before taking a break?

@HopesKunai It does not matter i allow mine to time out all the time and just re-enter when im back.

If the reason for time out is "space on the server" then I might as well just quit when im not around for a few minutes...

@HopesKunaiWell at that point you are on no server. As the server selection will be there so at that time your not in a regional server so it would not matter. It would kinda be like your idle on the login server.

@HopesKunai I honestly could not tell you. Just how they designed it. The reasons behind it only they will know or can share once this is seen.
