Why are certain older EA titles on Origin excluded from most sales?

For example, Medal of Honor Warfighter Digital Deluxe (currently $24.99) appears not to have been on sale since November 3, 2015. Some other older EA games and DLC seem to go on sale on Origin perhaps once every year or two, but never with any consistency (e.g. Need for Speed Most Wanted Complete DLC Bundle, currently $29.99, appears to have been last on sale on November 27, 2018, but prior to that it seems not to have been on sale since April 11, 2016). Whenever there is an Origin storewide sale, or an EA-specific publisher sale on Origin, many older EA titles end up being excluded. Is this an oversight, or a business calculation?

I'm not trying to be a thorn in EA's side. This thread has been designated "accepted solution", and I didn't want to flag any specific CM, but if a CM or anyone else in the employ of EA should happen to read this: It's been roughly a year since my original post. This probably won't result in change (and I accept that), but on the off chance it could be forwarded to the appropriate party and that party isn't already aware of this (I assume they know and have a non-promotional strategy for these titles/items), below is a list of the titles/items currently owned by EA which were published prior to 2019-January-1 (and are currently on offer at Origin.com) and which, as per IsThereAnyDeal, have previously been on sale on Origin.com in the US, but haven't been on sale on Origin.com in the US in over a year (with the exception of The Sims 3: Pets, which is a few days away from being one year without a sale). Due to its length, I'm going to break this up into three posts. In the vast majority of these cases (e.g. with the exception of Need for Speed Payback: Deluxe Edition Upgrade), the regular price hadn't decreased recently prior to or after the last sale, so the regular price can't account for the lack of sale pricing.

Some of these have subsequently been on sale on Origin.com for other regions, but not the US. Some of these titles have also been on sale recently and with greater frequency elsewhere (GOG.com, Steam), when available elsewhere. I have a few of these titles on my Origin Wishlist and can attest to IsThereAnyDeal's accuracy for those titles (and perusing Origin.com store sales, I've haven't noticed the rest of the titles on sale in recent memory), but otherwise this is based on the assumption that the relevant data compiled by IsThereAnyDeal is accurate. I collated this information on 2020-August-7.

Also, a few of these items have been included in bundles or higher game editions (e.g. Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection, Battlefield 3 Premium Edition or Battlefield 3 Premium add-on) that have been on sale in the last year, but someone shouldn't have to buy a bundle just to get a promotional sale if they only want one item in that bundle and that item is already sold separately and that item has been sale in the past (e.g. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, Battlefield 3: Armored Kill expansion pack). Many of these items are not included in bundles, or the bundles themselves haven't been on sale in over a year.

For any titles published between 2010-January-1 and 2019-January-1, it would be great to see these titles regularly go on sale worldwide during Origin storewide sales or EA-specific publisher sales.

Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond is scheduled to be released this year, and while it will be an Oculus-exclusive, it would still be nice to see a MoH franchise sale on Origin as part of the overall promotion. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest has undergone a price increase (from $9.99 to $19.99) as of late June this year, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault and Medal of Honor: Airborne haven't been on sale in the US since 2017, and both editions (Digital Deluxe and Standard) of Medal of Honor: Warfighter haven't been on sale in the US since 2015.

Apex Legends is one of EA's more popular games at the moment. It shares the same universe as Titanfall, yet that connection isn't fully leveraged promotionally. Some of Titanfall 2's content hasn't been on sale in a while, and it would be good to see it on sale again.

Criterion Games will be returning as the main developer for Need for Speed. It would be welcome if the content for their last Need for Speed game, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), went on sale more frequently.

I realize EA doesn't receive a lot of revenue from older titles in its back catalog (particularly games published prior to 2010), but it would also be nice to see a retro-themed sale once every year or two (maybe around July 8 or September 12) for older EA-published games developed by BioWare, Bullfrog Productions, DICE, EA Los Angeles, Maxis, Origin Systems, Mythic Entertainment, Pandemic Studios, PopCap Games, The Sims Studio, SpinTop Games, Visceral Games, and Westwood Studios.
