Why am I getting forced to install EA App?

Typical pass the blame on other people, everyones PC's were fine running origin app, now everyone has problems with this forced EA app, doesn't seem like a system issue to me, this is a EA app issue... I've tried everything to get your app to install is it even compatible with Windows 11? all my other apps and games work fine just EA app is broken.

What EA app troubleshooting has EA tried to fix their app?

The Workaround did work, but EA changed things to stop it from working.

Amazing, so they lurk here checking for people finding legal Workarounds, but do absolutely nothing to fix the EA App problem itself.

@iZaragan I hesitate to even mention this worked for me in case they change it again, but it did and I'm so happy. Thank you!!

My game accompanies the Sims 3 and they would probably have to create it again to even work with the EA app. It's old and for free, so I doubt that'd be on their priority list. I wish they gave everyone a choice on which app to use and just have people know that Origin won't be updated or have help/support or whatever anymore.

@RohirrimKing92 You can get if Ultimate Team sales were being hit by this it would be fixed in less than a day.

The simple fact is that the money are losing isn't enough to bother them. There's no bad press about this anywhere on the gaming news sites, so EA doesn't even have to act to try and protect what reputation they have left.

As bad as the EA App is there aren't going to be enough people who stop buying EA games because of it to even register with the people higher up at EA.

Just adding my input for the thread.

I was forced to install the EA App, however the install process fails and I can't access my game. I can't play anything or buy anything. I can't get any support and I can't downgrade back to Origin.

I never had this problem with the origin app.

There was a brief window of time where Origin was still usable after the EA app came out. 

So far, my biggest issue with the EA app is the fact that inviting friends doesn't work in some games. Hopefully, they'll actually fix this and make the app functional but I am not holding my breath. Origin at least had this basic functionality. 

Perhaps they should have invested more time in making the app work instead of making it look fancy.

I've seen your posts about not even being able to install the app. That's pretty awful since you can't even access games that you paid for. 

I truly miss the days when you could run your games without needing any third-party software to run in the background.
