Why am I getting forced to install EA App? [ Edited ]

EA I either want Origin restored, EA app fixed so it allows offline mode and has all of my owned games and content, or I want a refund for every EA game I've ever bought and is currently owned on your platform. The Alternative is I will happily pirate any future games you ever make, and I will be damned sure I never give you one more cent of money. Those are your 3 choices. 

And if you look at my game library real close EA you'll notice i only play single player, so my threat isn't hollow at all.

I second this. I am not afraid to get cracked versions. So, either fix your sh** or give us back Origin. This should have NEVER happened in the first place!

To summarise, you firstly need to go to File Manager, and under the View option, tick the box that allows you to see Hidden Files.

Then go to your C:\ Drive, and then you will see the following Folder:

C:\ProgramData\

In that you'll see an Origin Folder, open that.

C:\ProgramData\Origin\

In there you will see this File:

local.xml

C:\ProgramData\Origin\local.xml

Save a copy of that, just in case, so you can put it back if needed.

Now open that File with, say, Notepad, and add the following Key just above the last line:

<Setting key="MigrationDisabled" type="1" value="true" />

Save that.

Go to View and un-tick the option to view Hidden Files.

Then when you launch Origin or a Game, the EA App pop up from the Origin Login, should be gone.

They use it to spy on how you play for WEF. Klaus Schwab said, " They will own nothing and be happy."

In other words. They can control WHEN you play, see what you're playing, how you're playing, all that psychological *. We are LAB RATS. We are all in a Fallout of our own be treated like lab rats. I cannot play a game I PAID for on MY PC, because EA has some bull crap problem with their server. What the heck does that have to do with the game I PAID for ??!!!!

I waited and backed up my saves/tray files fo the Sims 4. Is there anyway for me to play the game without downloading this EA app as I use windows.

in my line of work, if a team wrote an app this buggy, for this many years, the whole team would be fired.  EA, stop over complicating * and just write a freaking launcher that works without all the bullll *. All i want to do is to be able to play APEX.  And a SIMPLE RESTART what kind of bull * error code is that?

Unfortunately, the local.xml edit no longer works.

I made the huge mistake of allowing an upgrade to Origin, and now I am again stuck with the forced EA App Upgrade pop up.

There are more extensive edits that seem to work for some, but one needs to download an older copy of Origin, and I just cannot do that from an untrusted source because of the very real threat of getting something extra along with it.

Very frustrating, and I am kicking myself for doing that.

I had assumed that after six months of this being an issue, EA would have extracted a digit and fixed this.

Needless to say, the EA App upgrade falls over, so I am again back to being totally locked out from PAID FOR CONTENT.

I can see no sign of any actual help on the Forums from EA, just the usual obfuscation and pontificating about Forum Rules.

Give me strength!

I'm wondering now if a rival has bought EA out, and simply wants to ensure that nobody can play any Origin or EA Games?

If so, well done, that cunning plan is working perfectly.
