Why am I getting forced to install EA App?

I got origin to work but now my Sims 4 won't open!!! i tried running it as admin, running the .exe and nothing is working! please help

@MayPanDay Thanks. EA app was reliably crashing my non-legendary Mass Effect 1 less than 5 min into a session. Origin does not.

Thanks, that worked. 

Battlefield 2042 doesn't run in the ea app for some reason and there was a work around by installing and starting through origin. If this ends up not working i will finally take the hint and never play 2042 again

@Tiresias18Some games will still require the EA client to be installed. Keep it installed but, set it to download games to the original Origin client's games folder....\Origin Games. Also, use the option to link Steam account if you have some EA games on Steam as well. I'd set it to not start when windows starts btw.

Then Install the Origin client, do the code fix, and use Origin client for installing and playing your games.....unless it's a steam bought game. Then you'll use steam to install, then hit the 'download' button in Origin client....which will find the steam install then turn into a 'Play' button. You should be in business at that point. This worked for me on my new AMD Ryzen 5 5600G with Nvidia 1650 build.  What a relief.  I was having issues with crashes in many games, including Mass Effect, and Jade Empire.  I can confirm that my wife's Intel i5 build (same GPU)  has no issues with the EA app (at least with Mass Effect, didnt test others), so I believe EA is just dropping the ball with AMD users.  Thoughts?

Then please allow it to be installed on a drive other than c drive.  Or alternatively allow removable drives to retain there install status so I don't have to reinstall them every time ea app starts up when the drive isn't in the tablet.
