Why am I getting forced to install EA App?

Well I don't know if it were this or that, but last night I was finally able get on game. No more complaints from this EA gamer mom

Eventually I got it working.

it took me 4 installation attempts , used Lutris,  and some Linux voodoo that I cant even remember now - I just compared installation files - and then did some copypasta - it eventually worked after 3 hours frustration, thanks EA....I figured others would have an issue too ....funny how it seemed just to affect those of us on the night. . . .

@TTVysnowzie My issue with this is it forces me to install EA App and when I do it disables my active EA Play subscription in Battlefield 2042. I don't receive any in game monthly rewards, and the in-game store doesn't apply the 10% OFF for having a EA Play sub. So basically, the sub doesn't work with EA App and BF2042. But they forcing it upon me. Crazy.

They did exactly this a few weeks ago, basically elected to deny access to many users who were blocked from using the Origin Login, because of the prodigiously annoying EA App upgrade pop up.

They took around 7-10 days to wake up to the fact that people were unable to access PAID FOR CONTENT at all, when someone at EA removed the EA App pop up from the Origin Login, and all was well again.

Until a few days ago, when someone else at EA decided it was time to mess Customers around again and, here we are.

this is the hijacking of my desktop.....they're holding my purchases ransom to install thier crappy spyware....beyond angry

I had to reinstrall an old copy of origin just to get a game last night, now it wants to update even though i TOLD IT NOT TO!!!!!!!! so it can FORCE the app on me!....i'm locked out again!!!

I WILL NOT INSTALL YOUR APP...same as i will not buy a "smart" phone...same as i don't watch TV or have a "smart" meter installed

I will instead take steps to recover the cost of every purchase i have made on the platform....no choice= no freedom= no interested thankyou

Except the app you're forcing onto us does not work. I cannot play the games i paid for due to an ongoing issue that has been reported in multiple threads over months and months of no changes. The EA App cannot launch my games and consistently fails, saying its a fault on their end. Every attempt to solve this was fruitless and at the end of the day I cannot even use Origin, the only way i was able to use the game i purchased, because its apparently necessary to FORCE users to install this trash.

@EA_Darko - No, I have signed nothing that allows you to block access to games I have previously paid for and are already on my system, I did not authorize you to attempt to force your buggy BETA programming on me. Glad I know to never buy games on your platform again, I'll be sure to never pay for your products again.
