Who's ready for Season 1

"Up next in our update schedule is the release of Season 1, currently set for release in early June. We’ll be back with a full overview and Update Notes closer to its release."  -The Battlefield team.

The above quote was taken from the 4.1 update notes.

That must be a mistake, right? No update 4.15, 4.16, 4.17 and just straight to season 1?

There are still too many issues that need to be resolved before doing a Season 1 release.

What are your thoughts on this lunacy?

I have been ready for S1 and have been looking forward to new content.

Honestly I think they saw how frustrated we are with lack of content and begun pushing to get S1 out before they did anything else. For example the specialist core feedback loop was announced nearly two months ago and we've heard nothing which makes me think they just scrapped that for now to focus on pushing some actual content out the door.

Season 1 will need to have a lot of new content especially maps.

In the days of the Premium Pass BF2042 would have had 8 new maps by now, 

With BF2042 only launching with 7 maps the game has become stale very quickly.

The problem has been exacerbated by MM which selects what maps we are allowed to play.

The  lack of proper map rotation has meant we were left playing the same map over and over on many occasions which has killed BF2042 for me and added unnecessary frustration.

Seeing how much worse the game became with 4.1 and some baffling decisions, I am not looking forward to it. Unless they regain their sanity and bring back 128 BT.

Depends if there is anybody left by S1 at this rate. They sure know how to push players away with recent decisions

I am afraid to see the content of season 1. 

I really expect almost nothing besides 1 new map, 1 Operateur and 4 weapons. 

But I'm quite sure I will be disappointed by EA/Dice again.

Well if there is only one new map ad they keep MM you will almost never get to see the new map.

BF2042 needs 4 new maps / weapons  minimum to refresh the game and attract players back.
