Where do you aim? [ Edited ]

I noticed recently that in Apex i never try to aim for the head. If i hit the player i feel like its good enough. I come from a CS GO background where headshots are always a primary target. For some reason i dont even try to get a headshot on apex. Is it just me? Does the general community aim for headshots? https://9apps.ooo/

@gulabon2 Good Apex players aim for headshots. It's a huge advantage if you can register them more than your enemies. I wish I could focus in that much but I can't because of the size of the player models and the speed of the game. Center mass for me.

CS is slower, and the TTK is much lower, so you typically don't have to track enemies in the same way. Aiming for the head in Counter Strike makes a lot of sense.

I'm not the best player ever, but I tend to aim for upper center mass. If you were to make a cross going shoulder to shoulder, then from the chest to the head, that's where I personally tend to aim for. You'll naturally get head shots when trying to control recoil. I focus more on head shots when sniping or maybe using a Wingman. Depends on how they're moving and how far I am from them.

Track aiming is what you need to practice in order to get better at Apex. Or just plug in a controller lol.

@gulabon2 I usually aim for the chest in apex, mostly because the recoil for most guns goes upward, so you will usually get some headshots without even trying. This happened to me once in a tdm last week when I got 3 kills, get 5 headshots was the goal on the daily challenge, and I finished it with just that one match without even trying for a headshot. This is more than likely because the recoil will make you hit the head even when you aim for the chest.

Where do I aim? Does it matter? These guns mostly hit whatever it is they feel like hitting (or missing) without much of any relation to what I'm trying to get them to do. Even after all these years. If I had a Halo 2 battle rifle in this game, and if no one else did, then I could get one lobby wipe after another. That's how crippled all these guns are.

@gulabon2 As others said aim for the upper chest and headshots will happen. csgo is a bunch of low ttk people hanging out on corners. You don't have to track anyone.
