What is the point of 2 factor authentication now that there is email option too?

It used to be when you chose to receive the code from the phone app that was the only way to login. Now it can send to both of your emails too? Doesnt that defeat the purpose of 2FA? Considering only you can have your phone but an email is something much easier to get acess to... Please undo this, we have enough russians hacking origin accounts.

True not as secure as the app, but it is still better than no 2fa at all.

The point being, not everyone has a smart phone.

Yes not everyone has a smartphone, but now if you enable phone TF2, whenever it needs to send you a code, it also gives the option to send it to your email. That shouldnt be the case, it should be only your phone. Email should show up if you DONT choose to get it through the app on your security options.
